Manitou R7 MRD locking out halfway through travel....How do I make it work again?

I've got a Manitou R7 MRD with the adjustable platform and air spring that has suddenly started getting half of it's travel. Even if I let all the air out of the fork and have it fully open on the platform it still seems to be stopping right about 60mm through it's 100mm travel. For the first 60mm i ... Read More »

Manitou R7 MRD

A little background: I'm looking to get my girlfriend a new fork for her birthday. She's riding a mid 90s Litespeed Obed that originally had a RockShox Judy on it. When she started to get into riding we bought her an entry level fork - a Rock Shox Recon Silver TK Air @ 100mm. Now she loves to ri ... Read More »

To all that can offer helpful advice, I recently purchased a second hand an '09 BMC Four Stroke A02 frame which came with an '09 Manitou R7 MRD on the front. Now my old deceased frame had an '07 Fox F100 RLC. I have recently serviced the Fox and I am about to head to South Africa to race in the ... Read More »

2010 Manitou R7 MRD?

I'm looking to try a suspension fork again after a couple year riding rigid carbon. I know the R7 MRD isn't really that light anymore (about 1500+ grams for the 100mm carbon wrapped one), but it's pretty cheap for a top of the line fork (less than $500 on ebay). I kinda like to be a little dif ... Read More »
