a Weekend Warrior
from Cottonwood Heights, UTDate Reviewed: June 3, 2011
Strengths: Two weeks of performanceWeaknesses: Leaks the inside oil on the stanchions, bottoms out and then proceeds to stick as it bottoms out, squeaks, and the chrome finish fork columns are scratched easily.Bottom Line: This is garbage fork that comes on a bike. If the Diamondback Response line came with a better fork then it would sure cost a lot more. This is a good beginner suspension fork to get riders interested into moving up into better components, but I would not keep this for longer than a year for fear of complete destruction inside of the mechanism (unless you have a LBS rebuild it which would be a waste of money on a cheap part).
Favorite Trail: Slickrock (Moab, UT)
