Strengths: Weight.. Just WeightWeaknesses: It's a rigid fork..Bottom Line: This review is for Aeris 286-80. And I really don't recomended this fork.. You better buy a rigid fork than buying one of this.. But if you wan't a good cheap fork, then go buy the RST F1RST Platinum, and if you have the bucks go buy the SID.

Strengths: Reviewing Aeris Sport 286-80. It is very light. With vbrake mount, fully assembled with oil, grease and steerer it weights 1370g. Good-looking ;)Weaknesses: Flexes a bit too much, SPUL prevents it from picking any bumps smaller than a cathedral. Said to be 80mm of travel managed to achieve 65mm in total. Minus SAG it gives like 50mm of travel... way too little to cross a cathedral, so in fact it behaves like a stiff fork. Has no oil bath in left leg and elastomers/foam spacers (?) inside become stiff as time passes making it almost unusable as a suspension fork. Lack of negative chamber causes a very progressive characteristics. Further expertise confirms it's design problems. Spinner claims they can build nice forks... I guess their definition of "nice" is slightly different.Bottom Line: After detailed testing and complete examination with complete disassembly I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Get a SID instead and look no further.

Strengths: Air valve does not fail as in the 08 models. Remote lockout gets you much more power to the ground, fully adjustable & very sturdy for an air shock. Can use linear or disc brakes.Weaknesses: Over 1700 grams.Bottom Line: Great value. Would give the overall rating a full 5 Flamin Chilis, if only they would have kept the weight as low as with their 08 model.
