Favorite Trail:Summit County
Duration Product Used:6 months
Price Paid: $330.00
Purchased At:Bike shop on Ebay
Strengths:Great steering control & fork stiffness in a lightweight package. The adjustability is nice but I find I don't tweak it beyond the initial settings. Glad I didn't pay $60 extra for the poplock since the lockout knob is easy to reach.
Weaknesses:Pricey - I shopped hard to find an air shock at a reasonable price, and this is the one that I finally picked. Still a bit pricey. Colors on the ugly side.
Similar Products Used:Mostly an old Rockshox Indy that came on my mid-90s hardtail Klein. This shock makes a world of difference.
Bike Setup:97 Klein Attitude Aluminum Hardtail (small frame for handling), Thudbuster LT seat Post, New Mavic wheel & Avid BB7 Disk brake on front with this fork. Like a new bike.
Bottom Line:Best price entry point for a top-flight air shock if you shop hard.

Favorite Trail:any
Duration Product Used:6 months
Price Paid: $350.00
Purchased At:bikeshop
Strengths:Super plush, easy to adjust, very responsive, reasonable value.
Weaknesses:None.
Similar Products Used:Rock Shox Tora, Manitou R7, Fox F100RL and RLC.
Bike Setup:Haro Sonix LT w/ RS MC3.3 shox, SRAM X.9 drivetrain (F&R), Hayes Stroker disc brakes, Mavic Wheels, Kenda Nevegal tires, Shimano SLX Crankset, Easton EA70 seatpost, stem and bar, WTB Rocket V saddle.
Bottom Line:My Reba has 100 mm of travel.
I weight 180 pounds and 6' height. The Reba is like a sofa in long travels for me. It absorbs impact greatly fine when correctly adjusted. I read some users writing about leakage and pressure loss, but it never occurred to me. My fork retains the air pressure for long days of use...
It’s not the lightest, but it is still pretty light. One negative thing to improve: the lock out is not user friendly along the travel (a little bit stiff...)
Conclusion: I recommend this fork because the Reba works like a Fox and you pay less for it.

Favorite Trail:Roman Nose
Duration Product Used:3 months
Price Paid: $345.00
Purchased At:Ebay
Strengths:Big upgrade from my old spring loaded shock. Smooth on small bumps and rocks
Weaknesses:At first I was excited having a new fork on my new bike, until the negative side air chamber started leaking air. I would fill it to 130 psi and after about an hour aways bleeds out to around 50 psi. Still having trouble after my bike shop rebuilt it with Enduro Seals. Now I'm ready to take it back for repairs or warranty serivce

Bottom Line:I'm going to be hacked if Rock Shox doesn't warranty this shock for me. I'll keep this post board updated on my findings and any resolutions.

Date Reviewed: August 30, 2009
Favorite Trail:Kirroughtree, Dumfries
Duration Product Used:1 Year
Purchased At:Came with Cube LTD R
Strengths:Remote motion control, plushness once been experimented with, looks
Weaknesses:takes a wee while to understand all the possible adjustments!
Similar Products Used:fox float RL 100
Bike Setup:Formula oro k18s, XT kit, schwalbe tyres
Bottom Line:After a few months of loving this fork, I realised that there are loads of adjustments to play with- rebound control for how quickly it rebounds, positive air and negative air- and after plenty of experimenting with different settings, I just got to love this fork even more. I have the 85mm version, but its quality not quantity for general singletrack etc and this fork produces a relatively small quantity of bloody brilliant quality. Really Plush!

PS I think the other guy must have just been really unlucky, no such problems for me ;)

Date Reviewed: July 6, 2009
Duration Product Used:Less than 1 month
Strengths:I like the remote lock out.
Weaknesses:negative chamber seals bust after less than a month of low intensity riding, also the fork frame is not very stiff, it feels a bit wobbly at speeds above 30 kmph
Similar Products Used:MetroGPS on a road bike
Bike Setup:Copperhead 3, Bulls
Bottom Line:Not too impressed with the Reba, although it has a good reputation and my mates tell me I got unlucky, this one is going back under warrantee but I came to MTBR looking for reviews of a proper fork..
