Strengths:
Helped keep the price of my bike low, and works fine as an entry-level fork. This fork is strong enough for single track and gives confidence enough. Many times I despised this fork for it's ride performance, but in the end I at least appreciate that it has lasted me for about 50 rides so far without trouble.
Weaknesses:
The travel-motion leaves a lot to be desired. On extended downhill sections, it tends to suck down through the travel and not rebound unless rebound damping is dialed completely off and the preload is high (in which case you will lose small bump compliance). Not plush in any way.

Bike Setup:
2009 Dart 2 with turn-key
Bottom Line:
Although this fork does the job, in hindsight I would have rather spent the extra money for a bike with a better fork than this one (like a Rockshox Tora).

Strengths:
Absolutely none. Its a poor performing shock.
Weaknesses:
Lockout doesn't work. Cannot adjust the forks. Its a joke.
Bike Setup:
Hardtail
Bottom Line:
They look good on your bike, but don't expect any performance. No adjustments are possible. As far as shox go, they really are Crap. Thats my experience. I would not recommend these to anyone...

Strengths:
This product is inexpensive - if that can be considered a strength.
Weaknesses:
Quality - If you ride hard or are a "bigger" person this fork is not a good purchase, multiple Dart forks at the shop have blown seals and leaked oil. This fork is not adequate for standard singletrack riding, it is suited for casual riding situations where someone wants a little suspension for riding surfaces other than pavement.

Bottom Line:
This review is for the Rock Shock Dart 2 100mm for the Gary Fisher Marlin version (G2)
I am new to mountain biking but I find these to be much better than the Spinner Edge model that came with the bike. Good range of adjustments including pre-load and rebound controls. Decent for the $$ and pretty forgiving fork. Overall great fork for a entry level bike. My only compliant is with the cheap pre-load knob.
