Date Reviewed: May 19, 2009
Duration Product Used:Less than 1 month
Price Paid: $750.00
Purchased At:BikeLife
Strengths:None
Weaknesses:It has not worked. Ever. 1st ride-Hydraulic fluid on the trail. Expensive. Marzocchi "service" not too excited about helping.
Similar Products Used:Two prior Marzocchi forks.
Bike Setup:Brand-new Ellsworth Epiphany.
Bottom Line:Ok this isn't my fork it's a customer's. 64 year old cross-country rider who got a new bike and wanted a fork with more travel to match. Last two forks he rode were Marzocchi. 1st ride it comes back major weeping oil not fully extending...jacked-up. Back to Marzocchi. Two weeks later it comes back. Notchy. It felt like something evil was going on when I turned the TST knob. Marzocchi tech said it need to break in. Rode it today and it is locked up and oil is spurting out like beer out of a frat boy. More Marzocchi voicemail, no May riding for a dude who is not hard on stuff. Very expensive junk so far. I feel so bad recommending it. I'll post later if Marzocchi does anything to make it right, but the've been worthless help so far. This is so wrong.
