from lafayette CA USA Date Reviewed: November 11, 2009 | | Favorite Trail: | downieville | | Duration Product Used: | 1 Year | | Strengths: | stiff, plush, very adjustable, easy wheel removal. Good hard hitting fork. light. | | Weaknesses: | None yet. | | Similar Products Used: | vanilla 36, talas 36 | | Bike Setup: | 09 nomad, DHX5 Coil, xo, hayes grams, xt cranks, wtb saddle tires, thomson, dt wheels. | | Bottom Line: | From day one this fork has been great. It has been the most responsive fork I have had yet. It almost seems like it works better than the older vanilla 36 I had. About a month ago I scratched the hell out of the left stanchion. I ended up sanding the rough edges and filling it in with clear nail polish. It leaked a little but seems to be holding up great. It still feel out of the box new and it has been a year. I would recommend this fork to any all mountain riders and DH riders. This fork is very capable in rough terrain. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

from Grand Junction, CO Date Reviewed: October 12, 2009 | | Favorite Trail: | Gunny's | | Duration Product Used: | 3 months | | Purchased At: | Purchased on new Blu | | Strengths: | AWESOME - 160mm of useable travel. Plush, fully adjustable, and stiff where it needs to be (I have the 20mm through axle). | | Weaknesses: | None so far, other than once you get used to this fork - body armor is a good idea. | | Similar Products Used: | Rockshock SIDs | | Bike Setup: | Santa Cruz Blur LT2 | | Bottom Line: | Awesome fork, I can't say enough good things about it. This fork makes you lazy though, meaning you won't be pulling up to go over those bumps anymore. Just point and shoot, no extra effort required. And all those drops you were afraid of, not anymore..
Would I recommend it? Yeck ya! | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |
