Strengths:    Amazed how well this low cost fork handles, lockout works fine & the 100mm does it good. Did lots of AM around a year a still good for a simple fork. I thought my Yeti was about to complain with this, but the like each other now...hehe

Weaknesses:    rebound control works lousy

Bottom Line:
Got this XCR borrowed from a friend (came stock with his Merida bike), ´cuz my Marzocchi just died , it was untill I got a new fork, the thing is thet´s being around a year & I still use this XCR, a low cost forks that is just better than a lots of double price forks like the crappy RS darts for ex. Great value for the less than 100 bucks it rtail costs!!

Strengths:    Great fork. Works really well, never sticks. $200AU online much better fork than my old 1. 120mm travel soaks everything

Weaknesses:    Magnesium lowers scratch really easily. otherwise nothing else

Bottom Line:
For $200AU the fork is great. Would recommend it to anyone. Works way better than any of my mates forks. Works well. Very easy to maintain, just oil your seals once a month, with a synthetic based oil. Would pick this over any lower model rock shoxs. Suits my riding style. All round great fork

Strengths:    Cheap, Good looking, Lockout function works well, Plenty of travel

Weaknesses:    No grease nipples, Difficult to find a service manual.

Bottom Line:
Good fork for the budget conscious. I was a put off a little from some of the reviews elsewhere saying that this fork is rubbish and is just a for kids bikes. I was initially looking for a bike with a more upmarket fork, but for a £400 budget, than wasn't going to happen. The fork came standard on my bike and I have had no bad experiences. Sure there are more expensive and more sophisticated forks available and the snobs will always turn their noses up at certain brands regarless of how much they've improved but for the money, this does the job well for now. Will probably replace it with something else when the time comes, but for now its fine. FYI I've been MTBing for about 15 years and weigh 15 Stone (210 pounds)

Strengths:    well, its an XC fork but has a long travel. its great all round XC fork..

Weaknesses:    i've got the 120mm travel, so its not really for XC bike. and the stanchion seals.. its so fragile..

Bottom Line:
this is affordable good price fork!

Strengths:    This fork is cheap and easy to use...with the lowest cost to get a fork with lockout function....

Weaknesses:    Not adjustable...the weight of the fork is slightly heavy...

Bottom Line:
It is good for an entry fork for normal offroad but it is doesn't last long.

Strengths:    very affordable fork w/ LO function, sturdy, well-made

Weaknesses:    pre-load adjustment has minimal effect; weight is a bit on the heavy side compared to similar XC forks

Bottom Line:
This is a good fork for XC and commuting. It handles bumps, humps and light to moderate terrain well. It is not as stiff as the other forks I've tried, which is good for the kind of riding I do. Lockout is really good for uphill cycling because it improves speed and saves your energy. It's low maintenance to the point that it's an install and forget fork. It does the job which it is made for. This means that you should not use it for anything more than XC. No to drops more than 3ft. I highly recommend this fork for the budget-conscious and for riders who do not compete but use their bikes mainly for health and fitness. 5 chilis for value for money, 4 chilis for overall performance as an XC fork.
