Strengths: price, adjustability, customer service
Weaknesses: flex, stiction
Bottom Line:
Seen an awful lot of mixed reviews about this product, i got mine over a year ago in a sale at chainreactioncycles.com, acquired a giant trail bike from a friend and wanted to build up an AM/aggressive XC bike. Initial reports are good, havent had many problems with them unlike a lot of other users despite using them for dirt/light DH and everything else, does seem to make a knocking sound when moved in any direction quickly (especially under harsh intermittant braking) and in my opinion work well on full travel and are more than capable for what they are designed for, im happy with mine but looking a other reviwes id probbaly think twice about buying them again, bottom line is (for me) great fork for price, versatile, work well for my style of riding but can be flexy (which doesnt inspire much confidence when riding like a loon)

Strengths: The tech support at Marzocchi!! Thanks Gideon (hope I spelled it right) I've heard 2008 was a bad year for Marzocchi and yes I've had my issues with this fork but the guys at Marzocchi are super duper cool.
Weaknesses: None because if you have an issue you can talk to Gideon at the tech dept and he'll be sure to help, and for this reason I wouldn't have a problem buying a Marz fork in the future.
Bottom Line:
Like I said I had my issues with this fork however Marzocchi tech Gideon was super cool to talk to and I'm very confident that if and when I have an issue I'll be treated good and taken care of. That being said the folks at Marzocchi are pretty smart having a guy like this working for them. So I'm giving 5 stars because the service is what a customer always hopes for but never gets.

Strengths: Light
Weaknesses: Cheap. Obviously not made in Italy anymore
Bottom Line:
This fork has completely failed me after only two intermiediate rides. It is poorly put together and the controls are cheap. I adusted the fork to my body weight per the instructions from Marzocchi prior to riding for the first time. This fork was not the deal that I was expecting. The Jury is still out as to how JensonUSA will handle this situation, but I definitly do not recommend purchasing this fork.
Weaknesses: No option to set the locking breakthrough.
Either completely locked or open.
Reliability
Bottom Line:
Got it OEM with my Focus Thunder AM bike.
Used it for about 800 K"m then the travell was 40 - 20 MM when setting was 140.
Sent it back to the dealer for fixing.

Strengths: No so bed for such price, nice look and it work
Weaknesses: I get it with a bike, forks itself not so bed, but really slippery. I cannot say anything about burn in period, but after 20-30 km of really heavy trail it start work better. No any other defect. One thinks which are really looks like a very cheap solution – rebound knob made from plastic, foxed not so reliable as it should be (also other knobs, which are visible immediately made from nice and strong look anodized aluminum)
Bought this fork because it had all the features for cheap. I've been a Marz fan for years, but those were coil sprung. This thing isn't that smooth. Wish I would have spent a little more for a 2nd rockshox air. The adjustments do what they're supposed to, but not that great. The travel adjust ramps up a lot if set to lower travel- it only feels good at full travel. The rebound works, but the stiction is really bad. If this wasn't so noticable, I would complain about the flex more. I'm hoping it gets better with use. I took it off of my hardtail to see if I can break it in. I will rebuild with diffrent oil over the winter and keep squirting oil and triflow on the seals while it breaks in. Hopefully it'll smooth out. Not a horrible fork, just not as stiff and smooth as I would like. Will put it to some good use though.

Strengths: relatively simple with a quick setup, good travel adjustment.
Weaknesses: stiction during break in period.
Bottom Line:
For a relatively inexpensive XC fork, it can gobble up quite a bit of terrain when opened up to 140mm. The stiction is definately present and I'm hoping it fades as the fork breaks in. The TST2 locks out the travel very quickly and easily. Overall I'm satisfied with the purchase.

Strengths: Hmmm... can't think of anything
Weaknesses: flexy, stiction, breaks easily
Bottom Line:
Pretty disappointed. I have ridden Marzocchi's for the past 6 years and loved them. I thought I couldn't go wrong. I was wrong. This fork is pretty darn flexy and, due to lots of stiction, very harsh on the small stuff. These things I could probably live with for a season or two, but last week I lost 90%ish of my travel. Now, when the ATA is opened up all the way the stanctions are run all the way out, but I get about 50~60mm of travel. When it is dialed down I get about 10mm of travel. That sucks!

Strengths: Has a great rebound and fantastic preloads
Weaknesses: cos be a little bit more suttle when going down some harder things but hey its a xc fork so dont expect the performance of a downhill type fork.
Bottom Line:
A great fork for those who want to ride some intermediate or advanced xc trails and a well valued piece of biking equipment 10/10
