its extremly nice on hard bumps and small drop offs.
Weaknesses:
its not good on big jumps which it bottoms out and it hurts the hands.The switch to make it stiffer or weaker doesnt help really.

I would recommend it on very hard core downhill. But its limit on jumps would be 5 feet which it bottoms out and hurts the fork.You do have to change th oil every year as it gets stiffer and stickier.But i love the fork great fork!! At sportmart i got this fork for free as i waited a hour for them trying to fix my stock fork on my bike and they just put on thier god quility fork as they felt bad, i was very lucky and im very happy and glad i got a good value fork!!

It is a smooth thing. And is it a solid contruction.
Weaknesses:
I'm 220 lbs, and factory default spring is not for me. I tried to get a harder, but nobody sell a spring to this fork.
Now I will try forge a steel spring, and we will see how long it will lasts...

where do i start...
they started flexing before i had my first ride on them. stantions come out of the crown so keep checking them. too soft, controls on the crown do nothing what so ever. they so soft they take all your energy when u try to get some speed up.
i dont advise them, spend a bit more get something good. ive had mine 3 weeks and im all ready looking to upgrade.

I loved this shock while I used it. The only problem was that I was too heavy for the shock. I wish there was a way to adjust it or that it was spec'd for differing weights because I really liked the feel of this fork. It replaced the RST Gila that came on my bike. Basically with it adjusted as stiff as it can get, it was about where I'd want it when it was as loose as it could get. I'm about 240 lbs. I don't blame the shock, it works well, I'm just too heavy.

pretty stiff,i use for dirt jumping and its still strong,can handle 6 foot jumps but im only 85 pounds.rebound adjustment

its a marzocchi, wide range of uses, good damping, rebound adjustment, can't bottom it out, once broken in good small bump absorbtion.

this fork is a great value for its price. it came stock on my azure but seeing th prices makes me think marzocchi may be ripping themselves off. it has a good break in time and once you find adjust it just so its an excellent fork. Only weakness is the flex under braking and turning at the same time.

These are great, i've had theme for a whill now and have used them for evrything, from generall xc to hard fast trail use, and they just keep coming back for more. They have a really smooth action and great adjustability, my only slight niggle is the thin stoctions which on the 120 mm versions do flex quite alot under hard breaking and cornering, Over all though , they are a massive improvement over my old suntours, giving smooth well controlled travel, and they do give full travell if you push them, unlike my old sunyours which only gave about 40mm of 100mm. Top job marazochi!

Bottom Line:
Good bang for the buck. Paid roughly $150, next class up is closer to $250-$300. So if you're looking for a deal and want a decent shock you won't go wrong with this one if your ride conditions are for this shocks intended use.

Strengths:
Good amount of travel, relatively stiff when not bounding over rocks. Seems pretty tough on the few rides I've taken it on. Really good price for a nice 100mm coil shock.
Weaknesses:
A little bit heavy (around 5 lbs), but it's not an air shock. Preload adjustment knob got stuck on a ride somehow, I was able to tap it back though. Had to order V-Brake bosses separately.

Bottom Line:
This is a really nice fork if you're not ready or can't afford to spend $600+ on an air shock. It's relatively inexpensive, looks good, works well in XC conditions, and seems pretty durable.
Only complaints I have are the manual is pretty useless as it is written for every fork Marzocchi sells in every language imaginable, also I found it kind of irritating that I had to order V-brake bosses separately (make sure you order them with your fork as very few, if any, bike shops carry the ones needed for this fork).

Real travel is approximately 80-85 mm, but probably it's too soon to tell, as I only used it for about 8 hours and still needs to break in. Also, I'm still playing with the adjustments so until I get it right...

Bottom Line:
I cannot tell how it compares to a mid to top end fork, but compared to the fork that my bike came with...WOW...what a difference! I really use it for what it was made for, XC to aggressive XC, so it gets the job done. It has a buttery feel and it soaks up the medium and large bums with a lot of pleasure. I think for the price it's a good fork, although I keep on thinking how a $600-$800 fork feels like...but hey, I will not spend more for the fork than I spent for the bike! BTW-the fork in the photo above is not the MZ Supercomp (the MZ Supercomp has two adjustment knobs on top, one for rebound and one for preload).

Nice crown Steel stanchions Steel steer tube Smooth operation except for initial stanchion sticking in boots every time bike sits for awhile. Rebound adjustment knob works. Preload knob
Weaknesses:
Leading edge on dropout is in the shape of a V. Dropouts not as beefy as past models. Although the crown and lowers seem to be the same as 2008 mx pro lo. The disc brake support mounts are very beefy though. Some pedal bob if you stand and mash on the pedals, but using some control you can reduce that. V-brake boss/stud kit sold separately.

Fork used for the road only. I got this to help me get through some bomb zone areas of pavement that caltrans refuses to fix. It was an improvement over my steel cromoly fork. It doesn't seem to work for small bumps but does work on the medium ones and larger. If you weigh about 175 lbs, the fork will compress just right without using preload. Also, the picture above is incorrect. The 2008 mz supercomp has 2 adjustment knobs at the tops. It is true that no replacement springs are offered as stated. All that is offered is a seal kit.
