Strengths:    Stiff maybe

Weaknesses:    function at all, the cartridge blew off after 5 months.

Bottom Line:
It's too strange the way this fork works. Very bad feeling on trails. The cartridge gave it's spirit after 5 months of use. Note that i am 70 kilo rider.

The worst buy i have ever done. Do Not Buy It.

Strengths:    Super super super plush action, had mine tuned by an olympic xc rider prior to riding them so dunno what they are like stock. Light and stiff for what they are.

Weaknesses:    Remote lockout leaves only air pressure as a preload adjustment, 80mm travel for Irish XC tracks is just not enough. Bottom out easily and with little mercy for your wrists!

Bottom Line:
With so many XCers opting for Fox and SIDs these can be picked up for nothing, may not be AS good but are still excellent fork. Although being an out and out race fork it needs to be watched for bushing wear etc as do they all.

Strengths:    Smooth, Looks Great!

Weaknesses:    none

Bottom Line:
Great Fork! Easy to install and works better than my Fox fork. It's the first time I ride Marzocchi forks and it won't be the last for sure! A bit expensive if you buy it whitout a deal but on ebay at 500 was cheap enough for me!

So if you want a great cross country fork get one

Strengths:    Easier to setup than previous marzocchi marathon forks. only two air chambers compared to the three they had on the 2006 model. Remote is also a nice touch.

Weaknesses:    Remote doesnt come setup properly out of the box, not a problem with the fork, just the remote engaging with the cable length they give you.

Bottom Line:
Remote requires a certain amount of throw to engage the locking mechanism on the remote, so locking issues out of the box were not the forks fault. One of those out of the box "wtf" situations. The top of the fork near the Lockout also seems to leak if you flip the fork over (not a lot, but enough that it gets on your hands when fixing the remote lockout cable). Not sure if this is because of the fork being new, or if it's just the nature of the fork. Also be ware cable fray on the remote lock out when resizing the lockout cable that comes a little too long. Once you cut the stock end of the cable getting it around the top of the lockout cap causes it to fray. Finding a new cable, impossible...I had to call marzocchi and tell them how to take apart their own remote. Even then they didnt have a clue. Only after 10min did I realize he was taking apart an older style remote. They just sent me the old model remotes cable, so here is to hoping. No local bike shop recognizes the cable. A really weak design if you ask me.
