Favorite Trail:street, park, trail
Duration Product Used:3 months
Price Paid: $250.00
Purchased At:Seward Bike Shop
Strengths:durable, good response time
Weaknesses:cannot adjust to the stiffness i need.
Bottom Line:for any regular dirt jumper, this fork kicks booty. whether youre riding street, park or a rhythm set in the woods, it bombs. definately above average performance but the bottom line is im a 310lb rider and i do some cuhrazy stuff and its just not beefy enough for me.

Favorite Trail:lookout
Duration Product Used:3 months
Price Paid: $499.00
Purchased At:ebay
Strengths:white oem fork is nice looking
Weaknesses:adjustment, internals
Similar Products Used:old school dirt jumpers 2004 05 06 07, all other marzocchi forks accept shivers and super monsters
Bike Setup:dirt jump bike drone reptiod slx hope accessories
Bottom Line:no adjustment what so ever, after 10 hours of riding they felt like an rst fork !. i seriously dont recommend these to anyone. marzocchi have moved their factory from italy to somewhere else and since then the fork build and spec quality seems terrible.i would suggest spending the extra money like i just have and have ordered a rock shox argyle 302. lignter, stiffer, 20mm axle (granted double the price but its worth every penny) motion control and lock out. for 300 gbp. these forks for 08 and 09 have elastomer stacks in the left legs. for anyone who doesnt know what this is its suspension technology that is 5 years old! granted this fork looks good, but it really isnt. so dissapointed. for 2005 marzocchi were offering the dj3 fork for 150 gbp with dual air adjustment and internal travel adjustment. check out their website... the pictures speak for themselves.

Favorite Trail:Street/Park riding
Duration Product Used:3 months
Purchased At:rocky cycles
Strengths:Strong, simple, cheap, nice fealing to them.
Weaknesses:I would like better rebound, but since i have changed it i have not bottomed out, but i would still like it to be a little stiffer. no dampening, but they feel nicer than a DJ2 imo
Similar Products Used:DJ2, dirt jam comp
Bike Setup:08 P2, mavic 729, powerbite, tenpack bb, animal grips, sixty pedals.
Bottom Line:These are a good fork for a budget build, they are strong, simple, only complaint is dampening and preload, but even still the preload isnt all that bad. I guess a lot of people would say there heavy, but im not a weight weenie (as you can see from my bike setup). Btw im a street/park rider

Date Reviewed: June 18, 2008
Duration Product Used:3 months
Purchased At:waterdown bike works
Strengths:Beefy, I couldn't break this thing if I tried, rebound seems fine, despite what others have said.
Weaknesses:A lil heavy, but i'm not an XC fairy so I barely notice, no 20 mil axle, but i guess for the price that's not to be expected.
Similar Products Used:Manitou minute, DJ comp, and ammo something or other
Bike Setup:08 Kona Shred, pretty much stock with lock ons and inner bash guard
Bottom Line:Good fork especially for the $$, a lil heavy but that is to be expected.

Favorite Trail:The streets of PD
Duration Product Used:Less than 1 month
Purchased At:LBS
Strengths:DON'T BOTTOM OUT. Ten times better than my previous forks.
Weaknesses:Heavier than my last forks.
Similar Products Used:'05 Marz Dirt Jam Pro
Bike Setup:'08 P.1 with tan odyssey seat and green lizard skin grips
Bottom Line:I love these things. Incredible compared to my dirt jams even though they had air assist and rebound adjustment. Once I break these, I'm so getting another Marz fork. All I've ridden so far is street with these and they rock. I've done six stairs with incredible comfort. They are real confidence builders for me.

Favorite Trail:Delamere 4x and Dirt Jumps
Duration Product Used:Less than 1 month
Price Paid: $200.00
Purchased At:Local bike shop
Strengths:beefy, pretty (especially with my black commencal maxmax!)
Weaknesses:no adjustments, doesent feel as smooth as many forks, slow rebound but is loveley for rolling in and out of jumps.
Similar Products Used:RS revolutions or whatever they are called.
Bike Setup:Commencal MaxMax, DJ3's, Code 5's, rest standard
Bottom Line:Nice forks, i only bought them because i gopt money off, i would have gone for some vanilla RLC's but that meant i would have had to wait. Still, nice starter for for me, holds up well from falls, i would reccoment it to anyone who wants forks that do the job and nothing extra, would be a good backup fork!

Favorite Trail:winsor jumps
Duration Product Used:Tested or demo'ed only
Purchased At:came with 08 norco ryde
Strengths:it looks ok and seems strong
Weaknesses:but the way it was set up disapointed me. there isn't enough adjustment so it is not stiff enough and the rebound is far too slow. i am disapointed that it doesn't have external rebound adjust as it will take me half a day or so just to adjust it to the rebound i like. but this is partly due to how the store set it up.
Similar Products Used:marzocchi super T rv 07, marzocchi all mountain 4 07, marzocchi z1 sport rv 07, marzocchi dropoff triples 06, marzocchi dirtjumper 3's 07.
Bike Setup:have two bikes and ride some of my friends bikes as well so dirtjumping and downhilling.
Bottom Line:i think more than anything i am displeased due to the bikestore setting it up wrong, but i would still would have liked to have been able to quickly fix there mistakes and set it up properly more quickly than to spend half a day pulling it apart to adjust the rebound etc. it's great value for the price but i beleive that it could be better.

Submitted by Michael Bryant a Weekend Warrior from Suffolk, England
Date Reviewed: October 13, 2007
Duration Product Used:Less than 1 month
Purchased At:Came Stock
Strengths:Seems strong, so far so good. Well set up, NOTHING to adjust/break. But that could also be a weakness. White (Best Bit)
Weaknesses:No complaints, no rebound adjust, but it's set up well stock, and I never touch it anyway. The only thing is, should I later want a harder shock, I'm stuffed, as of yet no sign of a replacement. But that doesn't bother me really. I'd sooner get a new fork anyway!
Similar Products Used:07 DJ3s, 06 Dirt Jam but cannot compare as they were only on a mates bike.
Bike Setup:Specialized P.1 (Stock)
Bottom Line:Good fork, short yet nice travel. But tbh I'd rather a RS Argyle. Let's face it for what you get on Zokes these days they aren't really worth the price tag. Lets also look at last years DJ3, Air assist and rebound, setupable(?). So really this years DJ3s are more like the 06 Dirt Jam Comp, I dread to think what the DJ4s are like....

Sum it all up, good as a stock/starter fork, but not really recommended. Save up a bit and buy some RS, or see if you can still pick up an 07 DJ3 cheap.
