from Lincoln, NE Date Reviewed: July 4, 2008 | | Favorite Trail: | Anything with jumps | | Duration Product Used: | 3 months | | Purchased At: | Scheels | | Strengths: | Light, stiff, looks great and feels even better. | | Weaknesses: | None so far. | | Similar Products Used: | Marzocchi, Manitou, rock shox | | Bike Setup: | 2008 stumpjumper carbon hardtail mostly stock | | Bottom Line: | The fork I have actually has 90mm of travel as it was made to match the geometry of my bike. SO it would be a Fox F90RL. The thing feels great. It took me a few months to get it broke in and dialed, but now I look more forward to riding because of this shock. The feel is a smooth absorbtion of all types of bumps, while being efficient and "crisp" all at the same time. It's plenty adjustable and easy to do so. On long smooth uphills I lock it out with a simple reach to the right top crown. I waited until I got all kinds of riding in before I made this review. I couldn't be happier at this point. 4 chili's for value because I know what this fork costs when not purchased on a bike. 5 chili's for performance overall. It's wonderful blend of light weight, stiffness and everyday XC performance is the reason. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |
