Favorite Trail:anything with singletrack
Duration Product Used:3 months
Purchased At:Came with the bike
Strengths:Stiff & Strong - does what you want it to without much fanfare.
Many ways to adjust it.
Weaknesses:To hard to tweak " just right".
Cannot get all 5 inches of travel.
Many ways to adjust it.
Not as smooth as it could be.
Similar Products Used:Duke XC - Headshok Fatty and Lefty's.
Magura Marathon
Bike Setup:Giant Trance XO
Bottom Line:I loved the control and confidence that this stout fork gives.
But you can never get all 5 inches to be usable.
Setting it up to be "Just right" is a painstaking process , unless your lucky. Travel action is not as smooth as it could be.

Favorite Trail:FFC
Duration Product Used:Less than 1 month
Purchased At:Incline Sports
Strengths:FOX. I like FOX forks, the compression stroke does feel better than my 2006 RLC but still not great. I have the RLC on the way back from PUSH so it's going on the new bike soon.
Weaknesses:Still can't get that last inch of travel,
Bike Setup:2008 Trance X0
Bottom Line:It does the job well, but if you want it better send it to PUSH. I will know better after riding my PUSH'd RLC.

Favorite Trail:J-Bar , East Burke VT
Duration Product Used:Less than 1 month
Strengths:Great Tune-ability. Rebound, Air setting, Lockout for climbing. The lockout is really easy to manage, as is the rebound adjustment. I am a solid 200lbs and have come out of some big holes that my old shock would have launched me on.
Weaknesses:maybe a bit heavy??
Similar Products Used:Rock Shock Judy Race
Bike Setup:Giant Trance X0, stock
Bottom Line:Great Rig!! Full five inches of trail busting equipment. Easy to set up, and adjust, on the trail. No leaks, yet. Nice fit and finish on the unit, looks durable.

This is part of the Giant Maestro suspension system, matched up with a Fox rear shock.

This unit comes stock on many of the '08 5" XC bikes.
