The XMC forks allow you to build a speedy racebike as well as a comfortable All-Mountain bike. Lower weight and increased stiffness are the traits that make the XM components so versatile. Strengths:
I bought for looks, now I love it for it's performance, smooth barely describes it, awesome on the trail once dialed in, stiff, and light.
Weaknesses:
No guidelines enclosed for initial set up, rides high, because stanchions are longer than 100 mm, makes sag set up critical, go to tech@dtswiss-us.com for help, they care.

Bottom Line:
Definitely not on the "affordable" side, but like everything else that is Swiss made, attention to detail and function is priority; there is a rider's weight limit, so it's not for the "CLYSDALES", I ride XC exclusively, so this fork suits me perfectly, and once set up it matches my bike's rear travel for excellent balance.
