Strengths:
light weight and extremely strong, lock out is user friendly.Really soaks up the bumps. Looks great too.
Weaknesses:
price point, but worth it in the end

I went from an old school Manitou 3 to this...of course its a night and day comparison. I like the adjustablity, you actually notice the difference in the ride. The air pressure still holds after 2 years of consistant riding. I wanted the best for cross country and this is it. If its good enough for the pros, its good enough for me...and you too!

Strengths:
a great race fork- extremely light very plush and good rebound.
Weaknesses:
carbon crown and steerer are nice but if your smamming on the brakes those parts tend to shudder
this is a great racer but is not reccomended for big hits unless you want some breakage. it made my bike alot lighter. This fork can also take some beating but do to whats its made of you probably shouldnt thrash on it.

I would not have this fork for just trail riding, but for a light race bike, I'm sold. I was real hesitant to sell my F80 off my new bike for a SID but now that I've ridden it I love it. Yes, I flexes some in certain situations, but you learn to ride with that pretty easily. The pop-lock handlebar mount is great and I use it alot, it allows me to run a soft set up and but be able to lock it out really fast. The feel of the fork is way softer and more plush than the Fox's I've owned, I prefer it to Fox actually. Adjustability is really good also. To sum it up: If you race, great fork; probably not the best for trail riding.

Salsa Cycles Moto Rapido frame with full Shimano XT, high end Bontrager and Easton other parts. Total weight of 23lbs.
Bottom Line:
This fork is definitly for a serious XC racer who weighs 180lbs or less. It isn't stiff at all, many people may be turned off by the flexiness. However it is very light, supposedly about 2.1 lbs. It has a lockout which is very useful. It is quite expensive, at about $850 msrp (the $100 above is obviously wrong). I got it for $550 because I was doing a complete build-up at my local bike shop. $550 was the price the shop paid for it. This fork is my first high end fork, to me it feels very nice. It's expensive but it is a Sid World Cup and looks awesome with the carbon Blackbox crown and white. I have not had it very long so I can't say much about maintenance etc. but so far it works great.
