Lite weight, quality of materials, Ti bolts, Design and Craftsmanship.

Pictures do not do it justice. The craftsmanship is amazing. The removal of unnecessary material while keeping the stem ultra rigid amazing. I have bottomed out my fork on rough trail and while my body weight is on the bar and stem I feel no flex.

Strength:

Weight as advertised

Weakness:

Weak clamping to steer tube

I've tightened the puny little bolts as tight as I dare with a long allen wrench, but every time I hit the same obstacle on my local trail - a big log pile - the stem twists on the steer tube as I negotiate this stunt, since it requires a bit of a turn on top of the pile. There are warnings all over the stem indicating XC only... I'd suggest in my experience it needs to be pretty mild XC - or maybe my steer tube is just slippery? I'm going to switch as soon as I can get something else - maybe a ritchey WCS.

Strength:

lightweight

Weakness:

to bolt heads round off

i found that if i torqued the front face plate ti bolts to the manufacturers recommended nm's the bars would rotate so i torqued them more little by little after every ride until the bars stopped moving (i simply dont want to ride my bike with rotating bars....sorry but no way)
when i tried to dismantle the bike to place into the bike box for going away on vacation the ti bolts wouldnt budge even although i coated the ti bolts with copper grease and i eventually rounded off the bolts rendering them useless...so the only way i could get the stem off was to smash it with a hammer!!, trust me this ergal metal is strong stuff as it took several blows to smash the face plates whilst only denting the stem body!!!!
i definately prefare larger diameter bolts than these small ones.
