Similar Products Used:several spinervals videos and a cycle spin video

Bottom Line:This is my favorite video. I feel this video will help me this spring when we hit the trails again. I would advise buying two or more of these videos to break up your training.

Favorite Trail:landahl trail and rhett's run
Duration Product Used:3 months
Price Paid: $30.00
Purchased At:website
Strengths:this is a tough workout! (at least for this 50 yr. old clydesdale). definitely helped my climbing, i'm topping hills i never cleaned before. went over one in the big ring that used to bog me down in the middle one. production values of the tape are very good, the picture and sound are sharp. on-screen visuals are helpful, especially 30 minutes in, when your tongue is dragging in the spokes.
Weaknesses:no indoor training workout can equal being on the trail. it can get monotonous watching the same tape all the time. best plan would probably be to get 2 or more videos if you decide to use these. i purchased their new clydesdale video, and found it's more suited to my skill level.
Similar Products Used:stevie ray vaughan live concert tape played LOUD! (very poor on instructional technique, exceptional for visuals and sound).
Bike Setup:lemond cyclocross bike on Performance trainer.
Bottom Line:i'm not real fond of indoor training, but with the winters we sometimes have, it's the only alternative to getting fat and out of shape (even worse than i am). i've used two of the spinervals tapes, and they will have you ready for the trails come springtime. it's a little expensive, but having a couple of different tapes will be less boring. the tapes supply the instruction; it's up to you to provide the motivation to use them. i'm giving them 4 stars; dropping the price $10/tape might get that elusive last star.
