Bottom Line:Pro is the story of the United States road racing championships, as told by several of the pro racers involved. It intersperses racing action with interviews with the racers, in a way that really lets you see what it takes to be a professional through their eyes. It's does a great job of showing how race strategy and team tactics work, and I especially enjoyed the way it highlighted support riders along with the stars.

The race takes place in Philadelphia and is seen through both stationary and mobile cameras mounted on motorcycles and a helicopter. The best section to watch is an infamous climb called the Wall, which juts up at a 17 degree angle and is a real leg and lung breaker on every one of the ten laps they race around the course. There are several exciting attacks here.

The only real minus I could find with this film is the announcer, who does the whole commentary in a dull monotone voice entirely inadequate for the exciting action that's going on. It's not enough to drop my rating of this film, however. If you are interested at all in road cycling you owe it to yourself to watch this DVD.
