Strengths:    Simplicity and flow more of an art piece than hard core type

Weaknesses:    low budget grafics

Bottom Line:
Very cool flow. A down to earth type video that was not trying to be the biggest, most extreme or fastest. You pick up a bit of some of the riders personality

Strengths:    Wow - with the kind of films you see these days and all the crazy footage it's really hard to say no but this flick really had no strengths.... I would have been super Ticked if I paid full retail for this one! Had a few unique ideas but were not executed well to give the delivery.

Weaknesses:    Weaknesses start from the beginning. This flick has no beginning and no end. When you start watching, the first reaction you get is - oh, has it already started?? as if the movie kind of snuck in without telling you that it's beginning. The intro is long, dragged out and undefined - we have no idea where this leads to and it starts to be a rather painfully long experience - but you sit there waiting patiently for that feeling when watching a new biking vid - and you never get there. There have been very few flicks that I have ever turned off halfway and this was certainly one of them. This movie is not worth your time and is extremely anticlimatic. You would think with the talent, known director and production team, it would be decent - but it was poorly sequenced, edited, music was mediocre, and the graphix were horrid 80's style - Not worth your $$$$$ the worst bikeflick I've seen since trail warriors.

Bottom Line:
Phil needs to be working back with Thor - you can directly compare this to Frank Black of the Pixies needing bassist Kim Deal who is now making mediocre tunes with the Breeders. After the disaster of the totally anticipated but way dissapointing Chainsmoke 2 you would think that film directors and producers would have learned from that!tand what's up with people still being able to sell vids with such crappy graphics???

Conti and Mavic: An unholy union?

Greetings! I have been attempting to mount my new UST Trail King 2.2 on my Mavic Crosstrail rim for two days now. I cannot get this bead to even get close to seating. I started with a floor pump but moved up to a compressor with no better results. So how does one lay/fit a tire to this rim so it ... Read More »

Photo Heavy -- Poland Junction to Mount Union Ride

I thought it would be better to post a new thread. Changing the old one would be confusing. Last week I got to sit up in the fire lookout tower on Mt Union. The gentlemen who works there talked about he discovered the Yarnell fire and how it progressed on that fateful day. I'll be riding P ... Read More »

Upgrading a Royce Union fsa 100

I have 2 1990's Royce Union FSA100 bikes that I want to get rolling again. I've searched for specs, builds. All I've found is a few reviews and not much else. Drive train reviews were poor on the FSA100. Better on the FSA2000. Same y-type frame with better components. I read one reviewer re ... Read More »
