Favorite Trail:Hartland & Millstream...more to follow I'm sure!
Duration Product Used:Less than 1 month
Strengths:Awesome footage both urban and in the thick of the trails; some neat night riding (something you don't see a lot of); great riders and talent; some terrific wipe-outs; good angles and camera work.
Weaknesses:The soundtrack is really, REALLY hard to digest - I felt like I was having an "AM radio 80's metal" bad acid flashback - even made me wince at times...
Similar Products Used:Kranked I and II
Bike Setup:Rockt Mountain Element Race, and a brand new RM6 in 5 days!
Bottom Line:Great footage, full-on gnarl of the North Shore, crazy-ass unicyclist; and chock-full of talent! If you're into stoke, this is a quality vid... Going to see Kranked III opening night at the local university next week, we'll compare the goods then!

Favorite Trail:No Horses; Hornby Island, most of The Dump in Vic
Duration Product Used:Less than 1 month
Strengths:crazy riding and beautiful scenery in some shots
Weaknesses:one or two segments a bit too long or repetitive; that's what the FF button is for.
bad song selection in a few segments; purely a silly opinion
Similar Products Used:none
Bike Setup:NRS Team
Bottom Line:Man, this thing rocks! Bought it for $10 thru some dude at mtbr! Had a party for a bunch of the local riders and none of them had the same feelings listed in my complaints. In fact, my bro and his wife watched it tonight with me; my 5th time watching it. As an earlier poster asked, I do think everyone rides a VPS1 and Madmax. My brother wants a VPS1 now and he's not even a mtb'er!! Saw one manitou fork but the rest were Bombers; hmmmmm, big hint there for that type of riding.
It is long so just break it up if need be. Well worth the $10, even the $20 or $25 they normally ask.

Strengths:everything....guy on a unicycle, crazy drop offs, street riding...1 HOUR LONG
Weaknesses:waiting for it to be delivered
Similar Products Used:re-tread (sucks compared to this tape), shift
Bottom Line:buy this tape ($20-25)....you get an hour of stuff while other tapes only give you like 30 mins. you might get bored watching the whole tape straight through...but since its an hour...watch 1/2 hour, go take a sh*t, come back and theres still more to watch. this tape makes you wanna go ride

Favorite Trail:"the dump"
Duration Product Used:Less than 1 month
Strengths:where to start?!?!?! I got this vid in my mail box yesterday, I eagerly unwrapped the packaging and slammed it into my VCR. Then the magic began. Great Vid. The guy on the uni-cycle is crazy. Lots of great extreme riding whether it be in the bush, on the ski slopes and on urban terrain. Great Vid. 1hr long. A must have.
Weaknesses:Let me watch it a few more times...I'll try and find some but it's not likely.
Similar Products Used:NS I&II, the Krank series
Bike Setup:RM hardtail
Bottom Line:Great video. Even my fiancee was getting into it and she doesn't even ride. Well done video lots of great angle shots and lots of great wipe out scenes.

The bottom bottom line: Grab the vid, watch it, then grab your bike, some coffee and it your favorite local ride area.
They are going to "PUMP YOU UPPPPP!!!"

Date Reviewed: February 18, 2000
Duration Product Used:Less than 1 month
Strengths:great, inspiring footage
unbelievable trails and riding
very motivating
Weaknesses:You might get hurt bad if you watch this video and go out and ride afterwards. You'll be motivated to try stuff you never thought possible!
Similar Products Used:North Shore Extreme II, Shift
Bike Setup:Rocky Mountain Element T.O.
Bottom Line:This video is great. It is not only the best mtb video I've ever seen, it's the best sports-related video I've ever seen. The riding and riders are amazing, the footage is fabulous. Watching this video makes you want to go out and ride hard, not to mention wanting to learn how to do all those cool technical, trials-type tricks those guys do. The urban stuff is really neat too. One of the nice things about the video is that it is always moving, so you never get tired of seeing the same thing over and over. You can get it mail-order from the Mountain Equipment Co-op in Vancouver for $20 cdn. Worth twice the price!

Weaknesses:if anything: too long

Favorite Trail:Circus Maximus (even though I havent ridden it...yet)
Duration Product Used:Less than 1 month
Strengths:F#cking sick, crazy urban riding, Wade Simmons ripping up the Shore, huge drops, tricked out DH bikes. Also, I happen to like the music. Im glad they kept Sir Hedgehog in the soundtrack, they had some awesome songs in NSX 2 as well.
Weaknesses:Chris Holm has mad skill, but his segment is still too long.
Does everyone there own a VPS 1 and a Switchblade helmet?
Similar Products Used:NSX 2, Kranked 1 & 2, Chainsmoke, Outer Extremeties
Bike Setup:Titus QuasiMoto, Jr T, Hope 04 Dhs
Bottom Line:This is the best bike movie Ive ever seen. I had seen NSX 2 so many times before I got this that the tape was starting to mess up. I thought it would be the same as NSX 2 so I hesitated in buying it. I was wrong. The riding in NSX 3 is so much sicker and crazier. The stunts are bigger, the drops are bigger, and the bikes are more tricked out. The urban riding is a great change too. This video is a motivational movie. It makes you want to go out and drop a 10 footer right then. After watching some riders tail tapping off trees and walls, I went out and learned how to do it half an hour later. This video will make you think about taking new lines that you never thought of before. I'd have paid $50 for it!

Favorite Trail:Mr. Toad's Wild Ride
Duration Product Used:Less than 1 month
Strengths:Excellent urban riding segments, big air, big travel and nutty riding. Wade Simmons shows that he is an excellent rider with a lot of control.
Weaknesses:Sound is pretty weak. Some of the snow scenes weren't very interesting. The "dirty dreams" opening segment doesn't seem to have anything to do with the rest
Similar Products Used:Kranked, Kranked II, Keepin' it Real
Bike Setup:Many bikes.
Bottom Line:This video is excellent for showing the extreme riding on Vancouver's North Shore and the city. I love the "roller coaster" effect of some of the crazy structures that they've built up there. The scene through Downtown Vancouver and North Vancouver shows how they've applied thier skills to the urban environment. This is one of the most exciting extreme bike videos that I have seen.

Running time is about an hour and I bought it for CD$20 at MEC which makes this video the best value. Well worth it.
