Shot on location throughout the 2001 World Cup
Downhill Mountain Bike season, The Circus features action-packed
footage from around the world and gives you a behind-the-scenes
look at life as a professional athlete - the travelling, preparing,
winning, losing, and partying.
Strengths: 98% racing footage Multiple venues - Canada, U.S., Europe
Weaknesses: Too short @ 34 minutes
Bottom Line:
Great race footage - this video captures how "on the edge" World Cup DH racing really is. The dual races are hilarious - almost more like the old roller derby than a bike race, with guys running each other off the course, or trying to tackle their opponent as they go down.
As most bike videos, way too short - the film maker must have shot hours of footage, why not leave more in? Should be at least an hour long. Only 3 chilis for value as a result.
