Strengths:    A strong 2nd film by Christian in the Kranked series with a mix of different riding styles. Obviously its nothing compared to what we have today but thats progression for you.

Weaknesses:
none really, considering it was filmed in 98/99 the riding is pretty sweet.

Bottom Line:
Just wanted to bask in the old school section of videos as I remembered just how much these vids motivated me back then and are fun to watch today. Good stuff and still worth the watch to go back in time for a bit.

Strengths:    this video blows except for SOME good riding in the beginning

Weaknesses:    everything... this was so boring... plain old riding. no big jumps or or anything just so boring

Bottom Line:
this videos totally sucks. Dont waste your time just D/L kranked 3 or 4 and others mentioned.

Strengths:    better than kranked, very ill ppl riding some equally unhealthy trails, doing things that make insurance adjusters pretty nervous.

Weaknesses:    soundtrack still sucks. "computer" animation. ha ha. nice idea guys... give it up.

Bottom Line:
well, if you like freeride, this is a great series. the soundtrack may get annoying, but its shot in some beautiful locales. i love watching it over and over. the music just gets on my nerves though.

Strengths:    craziest stuff i have ever seen, good luck to kranked 3 on topping this one.

Weaknesses:    NOTHING

Bottom Line:
sickest junk i have ever seen, some parts can make you sick the first time you see it so be careful. some of the crashes (which i would have liked to see more of) make your whole body contract in pain, its cool, watch this movie soon

Strengths:    north shore extreme (the future o' downhill hard core)
lilloet footage and head cams provoke both anticipation and nausea.
the b.c. posse (pimpinest of the insanities)

Weaknesses:    too much metal funk. next year check out ARTHUR FUNKARELLI for the real dope on intensity.

Bottom Line:
what's to say other than Christian Begin and his crew have the vision and savvy of only the most intense of vertically addicted enthusiasts!!! makes me froth at the mouth and subjects me to imminent bodily damage as i anticipate trying all of those cool backflips off of my front porch. more, more, more!!!

Strengths:
Nice footage
good riders
Just long enough
Good locations

Weaknesses:
Doesn't leave you yearning to watch it again

Bottom Line:
The bottom line is that this is a good video to watch. I like biking and I like freeriding but doing it is much more fun than watching. Don't buy this video it is a waste of money. I have only seen it once and I don't have any urge to see it again. Not that it wasn't good but that is just how I feel about it

Strengths:
great footage, talented filming, awesome bikesMy favourite scene is the one of Johhny T. and H-Ball. Those gys still rock

Weaknesses:
the individual takes are too short. I want to see these guys actually land some of the stuff. If that guy who was heading right for the camera actually hit the camera, I wanna see it!

Bottom Line:
Definitely an enjoyable movie; worth seeing

Date Reviewed: October 21, 1999

Strengths:
- North Shore + Kamloops footage

Weaknesses:
- the race between Palmer and Lopes (plain boring)
- the interviews or comments
- the credits seemed liked they took up half the movie time
- too glossy
- the footage of riding steps and wheeling in Itay (?) , that was just stupid, couldn't stop laughing

Bottom Line:
Pretty Boring movie except for the North shore stuff. The Kamloops footage was okay but got a ltittle tiresome after awhile. I can't believe the Palmer race was put iin - it just wrecked the whole flow to the movie (and it was boring).I like the NSX series much better.
