Favorite Trail:oh...how about that one over there.
Duration Product Used:More than 3 years
Strengths:Tell it like it is reviews (I think they might actually have a conscience!), Quick looks at lots of products, Great Photography and Layout, and yes of course the girls...
Weaknesses:Hard to Find, Expensive in USA, Can't get many of the products tested.
Similar Products Used:DIRT RAG (accidentally called it BikeRag, Rag is right though) Buncha USA Mags, Buncha UK Mags, and a couple of Japanese ones I can't read but looked at the pictures.
Bike Setup:Why, Yes it is set up...thanks for asking...
Bottom Line:I think it's a general trend in UK vs US mags, but the UK ones are a lot prettier, and a better read. The Mag editors must actually take time to do the layout as many of the pictures right next to text boxes next to a bunch of other pics/texts would drive most US mags crazy. Generally the same things apply to most, I said most not all, of the UK mags I've seen. They have better photography and layout, they use thicker glossier paper that doesn't bleed all over the place, and for only about double the price of a US rag, you can read what seems to be the most honest reviews this side of Consumer reports. And more surprisingly, instead of the manufacturer/advertiser/distributor going ballistic and suing for liable or all sorts of other nasty things like pulling adverts (and their money) the UK mags have gotten a lot of positive responses from both their readers (by thanking them for upfront reviews) and from the manufacturers, many of who improve their product and submit it again, instead of becoming so defensive they are unable to use the criticism to their advantage.

If you have never read a UK Magazine, find a book store that carries it, call them up and go read it. Then read a US Magazine...Then read the UK one again...Then go get a Frozen Mocha, you deserve a break, it's not every day you get to see the light.
