Only redeeming feature is that it has good illustrations, but in hindsight, they are the only thing that got me through this thing. If you want to read a good book on technique, read Ned's "Mountain Bike Like a Champion." Clear, concise and relevant. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

I thought that maybe the skills covered were too basic for my needs, but his other book; Twist of the Wrist along with Kenny Roberts Road Racing Techniques are awesome motorcycle racing books. A Gear Higher is like Twist of the Wrist. Probably the most applicable techniques are picking the right line & proper use of the brakes in respect to the location of the rider on the trail/road. Great book for roadies since it seems most have never raced motorcycles. Since there are few books on bikes, this is a cool book to add to the collection. | Overall Rating: |
