Strengths:    What He Said!

Weaknesses:    None yet...

Bottom Line:
Just what he said right below me :) This is a great steel frame ride; moreover, it is the reason I am riding more than one Kona bike right now.

Everything about this frame is solid from the ride to the look, and for what you get, the price is phenomenal. This was my very first dive into building my own bike, and I have never regretted it. I personally like the color too, but that might just be me.

Strengths:    Snappy, responsive, compliant, sexy, smooooooth!

Weaknesses:    Typical paint shipping as found on all steel frames (took measures to protect and prevent)

Bottom Line:
This frame is a total dream. The geometry just happened to be me my exact fit that I was after and the frame price was reasonable. Add the sliding rear dropouts for SS or geared option and I was sold. I've ridden a few Steel frames and this one is the best I have been on to date. The Dedacciai SAT 14.5 tubing is butter. It delivers a super compliant ride without losing the feeling of being in touch with the trail. This frame has a great snappy responsive feel. It's already been through some incredible rough single track and handles like a dream. I have a Ellsworth FS that has been sitting collecting dust ever since I built up the Exsplosif. It has been getting left at home even during the rockiest, roughest epic rides. The Explosif is the only hardtail that leaves me NOT beat up at the end of the day on some of the crazier rides. If you are considering this bike/frame, buy it! You won't regret it.
