Strengths: Very comfortable, fits my camera and two favorite lenses ( 300/4 and 15-30 ) together.Weaknesses: Could either be larger, or weigh less.Bottom Line: I'm not really using the Tamrac any more. This bag has more and better pockets, and holds all the essentials on a long hike. The padding makes this extremely comfortable with heavy camera gear; best bag I've used.

Strengths: room for spare tubes, first aid kits, etc. ample water supply. roll top closure is great for adding ice & cleaning. 1/2 the price of the equivalent camelbakWeaknesses: after 2 years I found the source of the leak, the mouthpeice had cracked, and finally has broken. the main pocket in the pack isn't accomodating to XL outerwear.Bottom Line: great pack for longer rides, when you need to carry xtra gear. for local trails though, I stick to bottles or smaller camelbak...

Strengths: It has lots of room, yet small enough to take on a day trip. 100 oz resevoir with roll top closure is good for cleaning and easily accepts ice cubes. The velcro system for positioning the bite valve beats camelbak's clip anyday. Great price.Weaknesses: Back gets sweaty, but it probably would with any hydration pack. Bite valve is terrible, don't even bother with it just get a camelbak oneBottom Line: This is a great pack, just as good as camelback. It has lots of pockets and room for the long rides. This pack makes me question why anyone would ever buy a camelback when they can get just as good of a pack for half the price.

Strengths: carry everything
looks cool
cant feel it when your riding
totally adjustable so you can make it stay put
big bladderWeaknesses: mine leaked like a bast**d. i've had 4 leaks spring up in the side seals. I fix them with selleys kwik grip which works but now i get high every time i ride from the funky taste.
two of the zippers brokeBottom Line: buy it. they are better value than camelbak and they all leak anyway. If it bugs you just buy a replacement bladder.
I am physically and psychologically dependant on mine now

Strengths: Good strap system, easy to fill, adequate storage, holds a crap load of water, sturdy construction.Weaknesses: Not enough storage for the really long rides.Bottom Line: This is overall a great pack... if I didnt carry a pair of Roach Pads that I dont use anyways, it would have more than enough room for the long rides. The straps are great, if you got it adjusted right, you can't feel the pack, and it stays put. The valve takes some getting used to, but it can deliver alot more water than a bite valve. On top of that, it was way cheaper than anything Camelback makes. Get one of these if you are in the market for a new one.

Strengths: Adjustable fit for torso; Plenty of pockets for storage; Solid construction; Easy clean bladder.Weaknesses: Mouthpiece could be a little better.Bottom Line: This pack was a fantastic deal given the price. I looked at it side by side with the Blowfish & MULE and felt the construction of the Ammo was better and the features were as good or better than those offered by Camelbak. The straps/hip belt/retention system is the best I've seen on any backpack hydration system yet. Only downside is that the valve does leak a little if it's not placed correctly - but it only took one ride to figure that out. I'm glad the Hydrapak line will survive under new ownership/management.

Strengths: Tough. Firm . ComfortableWeaknesses: A bit on the expensive side. Mouthpiece tends to leak a bit when putting in a loaded bladder in the bag, ie. applying a little pressure on the bladder, even when locked out.Bottom Line: A good pack. Well suited for a day's riding, holding the necessary body fuel needed and tools etc, either for a leisurely cruise or an all-out assault on a single-track.
Have done a few endos with the Ammo, and it just soaked up the impact. Possibly saving me from some minor back injuries.
The leaking mouthpiece is a bit of a let down, even when locked out, but I don't know how it compares to the Camelbak. This is really the only fault I have had with it so far.
In general a good pack.
