It has given me consistent, predictable traction and performance. This tire has been run on everything from single track to sloppy mud.
I've read that this tire seems to have some issues with a short tread life. While the wear I've seen isn't as bad as some of the other reviews have indicated. The knobs on my tire didn't rip off, but it is disturbing seeing a gaping chunk in your tire with no "tire". This shouldn't pose too much of a problem for frequent, burly riders since we usually go through tires in less than a month. However, anyone looking for a long lasting tire for the buck will probably be better suited looking elsewhere.
Nutshell, this is one of the best all around performing tires I've used, but there is some quality issues dealing with long life.
I'm giving this a lower value rating because of the durability, but it is a very good performing tire so it's overall rating is higher than the value rating. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

The guys at Intense really do make some incredible products and I have a great deal of respect for them. However, this tire really struggles to keep up with its competitors. This review is of the front and rear combo, 2.7 & 2.6 respectively, 60 Duro.
It does offer great pinch-flat resistence and the ability to run very low pressures. But many tires also stake this claim.
The problem comes in two areas:
1) After a month of riding there are probably only about a dozen lugs left on the sides of my rear tire. This is rediculous. I don't know why they fall off so easily but this virtually eliminates all hope of keeping traction thru the turns. A friend of mine has one rear tire that is virtually without tread altogether and it's only two months old!
2) The tire's slip angle is such that when you just begin to lean the front tire, the tread pattern is aiming the tire at an angle so opposite from where you're wanting to go that you loose traction very easily. So forget about using your front brake with this tire.
My advice? Wait a while until Intense comes out with a tire that addresses these issues, as many other people and shops share my views, and then give them a try again. Intense does take pride in all of their products, this one just comes up a little short. | | Value Rating:Overall Rating: |

Just about to impossible to pinch flat - these tires are great for jumping and wheely drops or bashing through rock gardens as they will not flat even at really low pressures. Also, the very stiff sidewalls have allowed me to run super low pressures (close to 20 psi) for incredible traction and shock absorbtion. For me at least they seem to absorb rather than bounce. And, they have been durable. The rear has about 2 months left but the front while the front is almost as good as new - that said I ride in softer conditions. | | Weaknesses: |

The knobs were ripping away after two weekends of riding. VERY DISAPPOINTING. The 2.7 up front is holding up well but the knobs are too big for most riding conditions. The pattern has to be changed for better feel and control. Intense should get it right next year. In the mean time, I have put a Gazzi. 3.0 in the rear (custom frame modification). it anyway. It wore the tire down a little but no
endos. I own a QR20 now and will soon put it on
with the Intense 2.7 tire just for fun. The 2.7
is basically a motorcycyle tire while the 2.35 is
a scaled down version. The 2.35 is so impressive
that i've watched the tire slam up against a wedge
of glass that basically stabbed the tire no flat.
I actaully make it a point to ride through glass
now. I'll post a review of the 2.7 in about 3
months. Hopefully I'll get a new frame so I can
test their 24x3 tire on the rear. I give the
2.35 four flaming scheists (the 2.7 may be better)
