Dehydroepiandrosterone, a natural steroid prohormone, is the precursor of testosterone and estrogen.

A big mean "meat" for downhilling and aggressive freeriding. Ramped central knobs for a fast rolling tyre, reinforced sidewalls and high volume casing to better cope with rocks and shocks.

Sure and safe cornering, fast on berms thanks to the pronounced and aggressive side knobs.

Top performer on different surfaces, it has different characteristics:

  • TNT: 50 ShA compound on lateral knobs and TNT casing allow to perform at the top on soft grounds and technical paths; 2.30
  • High Perf.: the ideal tyre for AM. Light and usable when pedaling, this tyre gets the adrenalin like the other versions when pointed downhill (inflating pressure: min2 bar.

Strengths:    Awesome traction and lasted pretty long.

Weaknesses:    None that I can think of

    Bottom Line:
This was a demo given to me by Geax (2.35) and it performed really well on our rocky/rooty trails in the Wissahickon, as well as the smooth fast stuff down at White Clay/Middle Run in Delaware. It performed GREAT all around, and lasted long. I ride 4-6 days/week and it lasted 6 months. I am real happy with this tire and will definitely buy it.

Nevertheless, the combo is recommended by some including Andy Pruitt who nobody would call a cheater. It fits in the category of hormonal manipulatio ... Read More »

Geax DHEA TNT 2.3 for AM use?

Anyone have any experience with the Geax DHEA 2.3 front and rear for some all mountain use? I've read it makes a decent rear tire. I mainly ride south mountain and some hawes. I was thinking about the single ply tnt casing. They sturdy? Roll somewhat well? I have a wtb prowler xt for my rear ... Read More »

    Geax DHEA UST/Neuron

There are some screaming deals on the 2.3 UST version of this tire (guess I missed out on the TNT deal). Geax website shows this tire at over 1100g  Can that be accurate? I see it listed at 940g on other sites. Anybody have a first hand experience with the ust version? How 'bout the Neuron ... Read More »
