Submitted by RastaMTB a Cross Country Rider from San Diego, CA USA
Date Reviewed: June 10, 2000
Favorite Trail:Today...San Juan
Duration Product Used:Less than 1 month
Strengths:Tough & dependable, nothing to break that I can see. Excellent for a stiff XC ride, I don't know how good for hardcore DH running.
Weaknesses:Heavy
Similar Products Used:Cane Creek AD-8, Fox Alps4 (sucked,sorry)
Bike Setup:Catamount MFS, Marzocchi Z-2 Atom Bomb Front
Bottom Line:Nice match, now I havce Marzocchi in front and back! Heavier than the super light AD-8. That was a nice shock, actually even plusher than the Marz, but blew a seal like a zit on the forehead of a 15 year old. Reliability is important! The spring match for my body weight is quite stiff, but does soak up the hits very nice. The rebound damping is superb and e-z to adjust!
