$300.00 | | Purchased At: | franklin street cycles | | Strengths: | feels plush and has great ajustability ,can almost lock it out with the preload and the dampaning is very picky ,each little click really makes a differance .it is bomb proof and i have never had it serviced and it still feels great . | | Weaknesses: | the only weekness that i found it its a little heavy and they dont make it anymore ,but who cares about weight when your looking for durability and your bike is 33 lbs anyway . | | Similar Products Used: | nothing like the tc | | Bike Setup: | turner after burner Dh ,race face .bomber z1 Qr 20 and so on | | Bottom Line: | its a great free ride and dh shock and has very good ajustability ,im selling my bike with the shock and my new rig will have a fox rc on it i just hope its as good as the tc | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

$275.00 | | Strengths: | doesn't fail - works great. | | Weaknesses: | availability | | Similar Products Used: | rcr T2, Super delux. helix expert | | Bike Setup: | M-1, Super T | | Bottom Line: | This shock is the most reliable I've had. Both dampning controls works great (rebound very hard to get at with M-1 frame). Get one used because you'll want to kill yourself after trying to get a new one. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

from Lawton, MI USA Date Reviewed: August 8, 2000 | | Favorite Trail: | Lawless | | Duration Product Used: | More than 3 years | | Strengths: | Built like a brick house, easy to adjust, even while riding with a bit of practice, very plush ride to rigid settings, fully adustable for any conditions with preload, rebound and compression adjustments. | | Weaknesses: | Weight. Serviceability. Expensive. | | Similar Products Used: | Vanilla coil. No adjustments save preload. | | Bike Setup: | 1999 Cannondale Super V900, stock except added Vanilla Coil TC and kept stock Vanilla coil as spare. | | Bottom Line: | Fun shock to play with in all conditions. I was amazed at the difference it made in the way the bike performed. You can dial out pogo on climbs or road trips. Compliments the headshock well. Bullet proof compared to air sprung shock--you can't ride that blown out. Downside is weight--about 2x that of the air shock--but my bike with all the crap on it plus my overweight butt, it doesn't matter--just another few ounces of weight to move and I can't tell the diff. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

from munich Date Reviewed: June 13, 2000 | | Favorite Trail: | singletrails + downhills | | Duration Product Used: | 2 Years | | Strengths: | adjustable, reliable, perfect! | | Weaknesses: | none | | Similar Products Used: | RS deluxe, Cane Creek Air | | Bike Setup: | Rocky Mountain DH t.o. w. Z1 drop-off (appr. 130mmm f + r travel) | | Bottom Line: | I love my Rocky. It is a grat bike. But the thing that impresses me eve more is the quality of the rear shock. This is the standart shock on my Rocky and the canadians could not have made a better choice. I had a Judy XL for 2 years, and there was no way to tune this fork to match the rear shock quality. The Z1 is much better now, but the rear shock still delivers an outstanding performance!!! Plush, progressive but soft enough, adjustable (it really works!) reliable. Unfortunately it is difficult to get aftermarket Fox-shox in Germany. So I hope mine will work fine for many further years. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

Absolutly the best rear shock on this shiny green planet. Turn the COMPRESSION damping knob for hardtail climbing performance on a long travel full suspension bike. Dial it in for downhill with softer compression and faster REBOUND. Take a chill pill if you need to send it in for repair because it's like your supermodel girlfrind left you while waiting for it to come back! Try buying an extra one from the manufacturer of your bike, it's the only way to get a spare. | Overall Rating: |

Hey everyone, I've had this shock on my uzzi sl for about 4 months or so I believe it is now known as the vanilla RC but nonetheless it is an amazing shock. I really use the compression damping adjuster to lock the suspensionout on long climbs and it is noticable. the shock is just as sensitive as the vanilla R/RX models and adds an extra measure of adjustability. very nice shock in my oppinion. Only downsides I've heard about is the serviceability which I haven't had to experience. for now 5 chilis | Overall Rating: |
