Strengths: Big spring.. Can dampen big drops easily.
Stiff and solid, holds and fastens on to your bike like glue.Weaknesses: Looks could be nicer, big spring doesnt show much fashion sense. Adjuster cap are wayyy to much adjustments for 1/4 of a turn. Doesnt dampen small humps.Bottom Line: Great entry level rear shock. For those just starting it, this should be a great improvement. For those city recreational riders, shock works just fine and just for you. =)

Strengths: Big spring, better than something that is broken? Hey I'm trying real hard here, alright.Weaknesses: No dampening at all, can you say bounce?Bottom Line: hmm, do not use with Unified rear triangle design frames, (bounce) unless you really like pogosticks, which I do, but you can't race with `em. (wow, theres an idea) The only reason this shock gets by at all is because the spring is so stiff that it doesn't need much dampening. I got this thing incredibly cheap off of ebay. I was short on money and my shockworks broke on my Marin, so I bought this, and it got me through a couple of races now with less than desirable results. (boing)

Strengths: It did'n fall apartWeaknesses: the spring is too weak. It will even bottom out on a 2 foot drop off. the bushing are crappy plastic, the shock wobbles all over the place, no dampening and it squeaksBottom Line: i recemmond not buying a bike with this shock on it because you will only have to replace it. when ever you go over a bump over 10cm you will be bucked off your seat. it would be half decent if it didn't wobble so much. never buy a shock like this unless your just starting off.

Strengths: Its cheap reliable regardless of what others say easy to adjustWeaknesses: its heavy and has like 4" of travel, which is not much even for xcBottom Line: It is like a great shock for the price, other than the amount of travel it has. It does not squeak and it requires almost no maintnence, it's made out of sturdy aluminum and it comes wtih a 650 lb spring and mud does not clog it up.

Strengths: Heavy spring supplied, No probs thus far, much nicer having a shock absorber than a hard tail bike even though the shock can be setup like one.Weaknesses: No rebound adj. Squeaks through the nylon bushes although I'm working on that.Bottom Line: Good cheap reliable shock even for heavier riders like me

Strengths: Its strong, very easy to adjust..all you do is twist.Weaknesses: NOT ENOUGH TRAVEL.Bottom Line: I would think that if they gave us a larger coil... say with perhaps an inch more travel, it would be the ideal rear shock for entry level to intermediate bike riders.
Overall quite good.

Strengths: STRONG. THATS IT.Weaknesses: GOES FROM ROCK SOLID TO SQUEEKY TO VERY VERY BOUNCEY.Bottom Line: THIS IS JUST BAD. TOPS OUT SQUEEKS ALL THE TIM(WD 40 EVERY DAY TO STOP IT). NO DAMPING, MAKES SOME STRANGE NOISES PLUS WHEN IT REBOUNDS IT SPITS YOU OUT OF THE SEAT. HITTING BIG BUMPS CREATES A LOUD "CRACK" SOUND. ABSORBS SMALL BUMPS BUT NOT BIG ONES.AVOID

Strengths: A good shock, but the annoying squeek. I took the plastic bushes out and replaced them with aluminum, no more squeek now.Weaknesses: The sqeek makes people look twice, but if you can fix it then its pefect.Bottom Line: Very hard to bottom out if adjusted right, overall a good shock for the price.

Strengths: doesn't bootm very easily if adjusted right. Tuff and solid for the price.Weaknesses: that bloody anoying squeek. This can be anialated with some castrol handy oil on the joints and the bar.Bottom Line: A pretty good shock when adjusted right. The easiest way to adjust it is to use a ragor riding glove. The only really bad thing is that anoying squek but this is easily fixed if you can be bothered. Suitable for any rider as long as they don't way a lot.
