Strengths: I was using Speedplay Frog Ti and I was not happy about un-intentional cleat dis-engagement with rear derailleur gearshift. I stumbled in Time pedals based on the MTB review. I bought both Z and ZXX pedals that I thought they are different – but so similar and I don¡Çt see the differences.
How am I glad to change to them. Engaging is even easier than Frog and no complication to dis-engage. The best of all there is no accidental dis-engagement. Very reasonable price yet functionally works very well. I wish I could buy a Titanium model to cut the weight.
Weaknesses: Heavier than Frog Ti
Bottom Line:
I bought them just for trial based on MTB Time product review. I was looking at somewhat platform pedal in mind at that time. I have three bikes and I am going to change all of them from Frog to Time. If you don't like accidental dis-engagement of Frog pedals, you may like Time pedals. I will give this pedals for 5***** if Frog is 4 stars.
