Favorite Trail:Dump
Duration Product Used:6 months
Strengths:NEVER get clogged with mud, fairly lightweight, PERFECT customer service, interchangeable cages availble in different colors, and i THINK it's availble in Ti o Chromo spindles...
Weaknesses:None that i can think of...
Similar Products Used:Wellgo
Bike Setup:Schwinn S-40, Kooka bonnie cranks, XT BB, XT11-30 cassette,Kore seatpost, and XT front derailler.
Bottom Line:Great cross country pedals, removeable cages, don't get clogged with mud. I think that has someting to do with cleat design, it has groves in it

Bottom Line:great pedal as alternate spd to 747. good retail price although i got mine new from the marketplace for $25. they have worked perfectly well since i bought them with no malfunctions. however, don't expect support from the cages. they are for pedal protection only. great pedal.

Submitted by Doug a Cross-Country Rider from LA,CA
Date Reviewed: October 5, 1999
Favorite Trail:
MT. Pinos
Duration Product Used:
less than 1 month
Strengths:
Well made, light(375 gr)
Weaknesses:
No greater platform feel over regular SPD's, would begin to be more difficult to engage if not lubed every ride.
Similar Products Used:
Ritchy, Bepop, 545's
Bike Setup:
DBR V8 set up with 4.5 front and back
Bottom Line:Was hoping this was a light weight platform that supported when not clicked in. Was too small to give the feel found in the larger platforms. Basically a good pedal, but not the new stellar platform for cross country

Submitted by Matt Friend a Cross-Country Rider from Woodmere, NY
Date Reviewed: June 27, 1999
Favorite Trail:
eagle rock loop
Duration Product Used:
3 months
Strengths:
Easy to get in and out of, float, NO MUD JAMS!!!
Weaknesses:
Not enough click when you get in.
Similar Products Used:
SPD 535's
Bike Setup:
Giant hard tail
Bottom Line:Definetly a cheaper more useful alternative to those other mud shedding designs. I heard from many friends of mine that there was always a problem with there Speedplay's or Time's. I saw an ad for these, so I tried them out and they haven't failed me yet.
