Strengths: Schwinn Mod Light 5: Pleasantly surprised. I bought two of thes lights just because of the price and wasn't expecting much but when they arrived..WOW! I used both of them, one on each side of the handle bars on the extenders and placed the battery packs in my handle bar bag. They look great on the bike. The mounting bracket in two words, kick ass! The beauty is the brackets have a hook system and snap down. The hook allows easy on/off, just pop the lever and pull off. The micro adjuster and different size pads adjust to any size tube and lock on securely. I pound the hell out of my bike and these babies never slip or bounce, rock solid. As far as performance goes the light provided is more than adequate. Most riders think two bikes are approaching and when we pass they comment on the effectiveness of the lights. I've set one for short range and the other for a little further out. Bottom line: without sounding like a pitchman, you can't go wrong and they won't last long at this price. I've order four more to hook up some of my friends.Weaknesses: None. I think many have been scared off by the 'four D batteries required'. This is equavalent to a 6V system. I've added an electrical jumper so that I can run both lights off a 6V rechargeable battery (I 'borrowed' my daughters battery out of her electric plastic motorcycle) and I get about 4 hours run time. You can get rechargeable 'D' batteries and these should also work just fine.Bottom Line: Bottom line: without sounding like a pitchman, you can't go wrong and they won't last long at this price. I've order four more to hook up some of my friends. Who should buy: Anyone who gets excited about a great deal. I've been watching lights for a long time and just couldn't justify spending a lot of money. I just want to pass on the information. Others have done the same for me.

Similar Products Used: Cateye, 2 AA batteries. Haven't tried any others. Most are just out of my price range.
Bike Setup: Ordinary Mountain Bike. Handle bars have the entenders where I've mounted the lights. This allows a handlebar bag for the battery packs and provides good separation and a clear path for the light beam. Some simple wiring allows both lights to share a 6V rechargeable battery which can be obtained at a toy store (kids ride in electric car battery) gives a good four hour run time, but rechargeable 'D' batteries (NiMH) would work great if you don't want to mess around with the simple wiring.

Strengths: Nice quality, cheap, nice frame mountWeaknesses: 10 watt, handlebar mountBottom Line: Nice light, runs 2 hours @ 10 watts - not spectacular performance but for the money I paid it's awesome. Nice build quality I think this lite would last. I will be upgrading to a helmet mount 15-25 watt to suit me better for trails at night, but that is personal preference.
