Strengths:    Probably one of the brightest tail lights out there, works off of my larger Niterider system, uses little power from the main system, easy to modify mounting to fit almost anywhere with a little drilling and tapping.

Weaknesses:    Surlock system tends to come unplugged. Very sensitive to power dropouts so can't be used with the old loose battery systems.

Bottom Line:
This is the real deal. If you have a Niterider system, get it. I love hearing complaints from drivers about how bright it is (somehow they don't get it--that is in fact my objective). A little pricey, but worth it if spend much time on roads. On a trail, who cares--nobody is going to run you over from behind there. Niterider was very good about trading in my old one for the new format when I bought a new system.

Strengths:    Very bright light, uses little of the battery's energy that it barely effects the burn time from my headlight system.

Weaknesses:    Surlock connector adaptor, doesn't double as a reflector when the light is off.

Bottom Line:
The light itself works well and is very visible. If NR would come out with a better way to set up the Surlock adaptor I'd give it 5 chillis.
