Strengths:    Easily removable, can use as a flashlight. I mainly used it for biking two miles to and from school through Pasadena streets, I'm able to see it hit street signs hundreds of feet away. Blinking mode gets you noticed.

Weaknesses:    Kind of heavy. Thinking of strapping to the noggin for a night race, and it might produce some unwanted head bob.

Bottom Line:
Good for cheap, cheap if you're looking for something good.

Strengths:    Great for after work street rides to keep you from getting smacked by a truck in the dark. I got the small led tailight in this pack as well, and it is nice and small/lightwieght. They both have blinking modes that will definitley get you notices by passing autos. The batteries also last quite a while...about 80hrs or so. Also, both have quick disconnect mounts that seem to work great.

Weaknesses:    The headlight is a little heavy and does not provide much light at a distance, but that is true of all led lights.

Bottom Line:
Good safety light for the price, but if you want to see where you are going be prepared to spend more money.

Strengths:    Compact, no cords, don't have to wait to charge, flashing option, potential as a back-up light

Weaknesses:    Light is marginal to be used for commuting. High quality AA batteries are a must to get the most out of this light.

Bottom Line:
I bought this light in hopes that I could use it for commuting to work and avoid having to charge my NiteRider Trail Rat each time and prematurely wearing out the battery pack. I first tried it using EverReady heavy duty batteries and the light strenght was not very good. Then I tried Duracell Ultra batteries which produced a brighter light. However, for a regular commuter, I don't think this light is still bright enough. It's great to be able to slap in batteries and go, but the fairly low amount of light it puts out makes riding in the dark a little scary sometimes. For off road night rides, this product would work well as a back-up light.

Strengths:    Very bright, compact size

Weaknesses:    none

Bottom Line:
As a commuter light, this product is great. I was impressed by how 3 tiny LED's produce very bright light. You can easily remove this from the bike and use it as a flashlight. You also have the option of making this blink.
