The Flight returns in 2009 with a newly configured battery and all the same great features. Using Lithium Ion powered cells, the Flight lighting system offers one of the greatest power to weight ratios of any lighting system available. The Flight offers three different HID light modes with run times ranging from 2:15 HRS up to 3:30 HRS. Want to extend burn times? Switch over to the power saving LED’s. Never before has so much power come in so small of a package. Mounting options are virtually limitless with a battery pack no larger than a cell phone and weighing only 227g/8oz.
Strengths: Very light, semi-expensive but worth it. Nice wide beam with sufficent brightness. Great for a helmet light or mounted on bike. LED light automatically turns on and will continue to shine for hours after HID battery runs out.
Weaknesses: LED lights barely bright enough for medium pace riding.
Bottom Line:
It was a good choice for my style of riding. I would recommend this light for riders who average 2hrs riding time with out shutting their light off. Not Recommended for marathon night rides(however, the LED lights will get you home if you run out of battery).
Trying to decide between the NR flight 2.0 vs the NR Trinewt for my brighter light. I already have a L&M Solo and need to replace my old HID. Anyone have experience with the Flig Read More »
