Strengths: Rechargeable, carrying case, keeps all parts in the same placeWeaknesses: short run time in cold weatherBottom Line: use this light on a recumbent trike I can travel 25 MPH with ease, I use the light during the day on flash, and cars do see me at street intersections, never had a car pull out infront of me or anyone open a door while parked when I was going by. At night is the same story. Most important thing about this light is YOUR ARE SEEN DAY OR NIGHT."
I have never had any problem with the connections as stated in other reviews.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Strengths: Good high power beem, as some one said love when it works..Weaknesses: surlok hum more like surUNlok :( after half a year of use (not often) light mtb, extention cable failed caused gauge proble. They mailed me back a new one free of charge, nice thanks guy. BUT sh..&^ the new cable has also failed after a while.
Do your selfs a favor NR use decent plugs and cables.. pay top $$ I expect the best.Bottom Line: love it when it works, good beam spread. At high power setting wish it would last a bit longer. Surlok plugs and extention cable SUCK.. bad wiring causes gauge problems, still works but doesnt show gauge propely.

Strengths: Fancy Red Carrying CaseWeaknesses: Reliability, inability to mount battery to top tubes with cables on the underside.Bottom Line: I rolled the dice against my better judgement after reading reviews here. Needed a light quickly, my local cycle shop only carries Niterider so I went ahead. This light lived up to all the negative reviews. Remote switch did not work from the start unless I manipulated the plugin. Light would not turn on and initialize, then it seemed to work. Returned it within 24 hours as I'm not comfortable taking it out to the trails.

Strengths: Easy to mount on handle bars or helmet. Bright light with multiple settings. The highest setting is 15W and produces plenty of light for technical downhill single track. The 10W setting is plenty of light for the climbs and saves battery life. The 6W setting I don't really use, not much light. The light also has 4 other settings 3W when your taking a break, 2 strobe light settings just in case you run into a party and an SOS setting just in case your map was not as good as you thought.Weaknesses: NoneBottom Line: Not the cheapest light but compared to the HID it's affordable. Plenty of light on single track and run times are great. I rode over four hours last week and had the light on the majority of the time excluding pit stops. I also carry a back up battery just in case. These can be ordered at the bike shop and are not that expensive. Good for the commute with the strobe and taillight option. Obviously I have already said it's great for singletrack.

Strengths: Bright!!! Rechargeable Battery, intgrated tailight option. Bright...There is no other light with this brightness, it cuts through on coming high beams like nothing else. If you need to see yopur trail ahead it is worth the investment.Weaknesses: Battery Life...In Fairbanks we only need lights when it is cold, the batteries have poor life under that sistuation. Three years of commuting two days a week between October and March and the battery won't even make it for 1 hour round-trip at half output! Cable connections are fidgety, subject to coming loose on bumpy soft trails.Bottom Line: Too much money for the commuter in AK. Cable connections are too fidgety, Battery Life at Sub-Arctic temps is WANK
