Strengths:
There when you need it, works in rain, not a lot of drag, no drag when it's off
Weaknesses:
There when you don't need it, a bit noisy, more drag than a dynohub when it's running, slips in snow, light goes out when you stop, do they still make these?
A good compromise between price and function if you want a reasonably efficient occasional use generator light that you can count on to actually work when you need it. For regular all-weather commuting use I'd suggest a dynohub (Schmidt, very expensive, or Shimano, which is draggy when off) with a blinky as a backup, or maybe one of the fancy low-drag Euro generators like Lightspin or Busch & Muller
