Bottom Line:
For the money, Union is a good beginner set-up. It comes with both headlight and tail light. In rain, a more solid roller to tire contact is needed with any bottle generator. The metal roller will last as long as the generator. The Sanden has no tail light, but it is so compact and oh how it shines.

Strengths:
They last forever, no batteries needed, works well in the rain, faster you go brighter it gets.
Weaknesses:
When stopped the light has no power and won't shine. Assembly instructions are confusing. Reads like it was written by a monkey. Parts aren't labeled. Instructions are barely readable because they are poor xerox copies.

Bike Setup:
It attaches to the right front fork of your bike and rubs up against the tire to power it.
Bottom Line:
If you can figure out how to assemble and attach it, you will enjoy it for the life of your bike. It is an all terrain light that just won't quit.
