Where To Buy

Cambria Bicycle Outfitters

Submitted by Rob a Cross Country Rider from MS
Date Reviewed: November 10, 2002
Favorite Trail:Couch/Badlands loop
Duration Product Used:2 Years
Price Paid: $5.00
Purchased At:Wheel House
Strengths:- cheap
- enough light to be legal on the road
- works, mostly
Weaknesses:- cheap
- not really enough light, ever
Similar Products Used:Sigma Elipsoid (much, much better)
Bike Setup:00 Trek STP w/SRAM drivetrain, eggbeater pedals
Bottom Line:It's OK for an around-town light but not enough for an off-road backup light. Nice enough design, and the mount's fairly secure. If you're looking for a backup to your main light system, pass this one by in favor of something more powerful. It belongs on a hybrid in a bike lane, not in the woods.

Submitted by Miguel Santos a Weekend Warrior from Oporto
Date Reviewed: December 6, 2001
Favorite Trail:Valongo
Duration Product Used:3 months
Price Paid: $7.00
Purchased At:SportZone
Strengths:Very economic, more or less light and small
Weaknesses:The light beam isn't strong enough to iluminate your way. The support on the handle bar is very big and ugly
Similar Products Used:none
Bike Setup:semi-rigid
Bottom Line:It's a good choice for those who don't want to spend much money and still obtain a medium quality lantern. The light provided by this product is only good to be seen and not to see, so you should only use it on road at the evening. If you want to ride at night then you must buy a more powerful light.
