I happened upon the "official" review by MTBR guru Francis and liked what I read, then I took the light out for a few night excursion and liked what I saw (literally). This light is BRIGHT and WHITE which makes for excellent visibility on the trail. It's as bright, if not brighter, as any other $300 system I've used. It's self containing which means no wires to hassle with and no battery pack to worry about. It is super simple to mount on any handle bar. It rotates at the base which allows you to adjust the beam to the front of the bike no matter what angle on the bar you mount it. Dare I say a perfect bicycle light? Definitely worth every penny!

Strengths:
perfect beam pattern, bright, super fast charge, light as all hell, no cords or seperate battery (a strength and a weakness), long burn time, durable- i've crashed with it pretty hard and dropped it out the back of my truck. this light is great for people who really like to do serious 2hr+ night rides, adventure and endurance racers, and serious commuters. the quick charge makes is so easy to ride whenever, especially if you're a spontaneous and poor planning fanatic like me.
Weaknesses:
its not the most beautiful piece of functional art. kinda spendy. clamp is hard to deal with in cold weather.

Strengths:
- very light (as in, it weighs very little!) - fits well on the bars without being in the way of anything else - single unit; no battery cables - broad, uniform beam - eye-friendly beam color - charges fast - easy to point beam after light is mounted to handlebar - lots of light (red, green etc) indicators letting you know your juice (battery) levels (easy to see when you're riding but not distracting) - mounting system is bombproof - cool (v.protective) carry case - sleek, minimalist design
Weaknesses:
Need to pay attention when you mount the first time (I'm thinking of keeping the shims taped to my bars, would make it easier)
Light is mounted on Easton Monkey Lite risers (my bikes are all set up for cross-country riding): Specialized M4 hardtail, K2 Razorback, Spot singlespeed
Bottom Line:
This light is crazy wicked. Full disclosure - the owner/inventor is a buddy of mine, but if the light sucked I would say so, luckily it does not suck ; ) I took this light down to Santa Barbara for a 28.5 hour love-fest AKA Adventure Race Natz which was 80% on the bike (some 100+ miles, 18K, and 9+ hours of night riding). I had an ARC Lion on my head and the BR light on my bars. It was the complete hook-up! For starters, the light was rock solid on the bars the entire time. The beam is very sweet - great coverage, nice color, uniform. When I had to man-handle the bike for a little hike-a-biking I never had to worry about battery cables or a bulky battery strapped to my tubes. You barely notice this thing. I used the BR light on the low-light option a ton to save battery life. I'd add the ARC when stuff got technical just to have maximum light possible. It was hard to keep track of how much ARC light I'd used and eventually it died. With the BR light I could totally track my usage with the battery indicator system, super cool. I was able to manage my light situation so the BR got to its last bit of juice at sunrise. Perfect.
