King Cobra technology in a more rugged format for the hardcore dirt rider. New BrainTrust retention system combines out-of-the-box fit with "on the fly" adjustment. ExoThermic construction keeps it strong; 17 huge vents keep it cool. Sizing: XXS thru XL.
Strengths: Comfort, comfort, comfort. Vents, durability, comfort. Looks good, not too big, comfortable. And pretty comfy.
Weaknesses: NADA
Bottom Line:
Best helmet I tried for the price. And I tried many. Giro's, Bell's, Trek's. This was the best. Did I say it was comfortable?? 80 bucks to protect my dome and keep it cool is worth it, considering the only other helmet from Giro that I kind of liked was 130$ and felt 1/2 as good as this on my head. Would buy another in a heartbeat.

Strengths: Cool design! Lots of vents.
Bottom Line:
Great lid. Super cheap at Specialized.com (now only US$9.99). Comes in XL. Doesn't move around or bounce in your head. Super cool. The Brain Trust knob looks like a thermostat. LOL! =D
Bike Setup: Aluminum FS mountain bike, Hayes mechanical discs and Shimano SPD clipless pedals.

Strengths: Comfort and stable, free/new helmet due to recall
Weaknesses: recalled...
Bottom Line:
Best fitting helment I have ever had. Very stable, doesn't push my sun glasses off my nose, etc. Removable visor, plenty of vents...how many do you really need....I would buy another one tommorrow if I had to.
Strengths: Well, it took a beating yesterday in a spectactular crash. It basically saved me from a serious head injury. The helmet is broken now but it did its job!
Weaknesses: none
Bottom Line:
Well, lots of vents and it fits like a dream. I'm here writing after a nasty crash so we know it does the job. I just ordered a new one from Specialized. Boo, no more red helmets. Oh well!

Strengths: Great design - airy, while remaining firmly planted on your head. The in-moulding is confidence inspiring, and the whole helmet looks well made. You can get it in XL, which means it will fit onto my head - only one other helmet in Wellington did when I looked around the stores, that was a giro - it was $50NZ more, and it had a taped shell and fewer, smaller vents.
Weaknesses: The red/fade to white colour isn't brilliant, but I'll settle for it seeing as though it fits and is good.
Bottom Line:
You want to spend a little more when buying a helmet to get a good one - remember that for most of us our brain is a valuable asset, and we should aim to keep them safe. The Specialized Enduro Pro will keep your brain safe as well as any similar helmet could - it's worth the small amount extra you'll pay to save your brains in a stack.
Strengths: This helmet is very light and comfy. It fits nice and tight. Many air holes allows for an airy feeling.
Weaknesses: What's with the knob in the back.
Bottom Line:
My mountain man was broken by a wayward driver(face plant into a windshield), so a new lid was in order. This helmet fit even better and is the lightest I've tried. Love the red color too.
Strengths: Braintrust; softer and better fitting; 17 wide open vents; Poly Carbonite in-molded micro shell; clip-on visor
Weaknesses: None
Bottom Line:
This is an excellent helmet that feels like a baseball cap. It is so light and closely fitting that you can forget that it is there. Ventilation is excellent.
Weaknesses: can't figure out what the braintrust knob does.
Bottom Line:
I give the Specialized Enduro Pro high marks:
1. It is lightweight, without feeling flimsy. 2. There are plenty of vents to keep your dome cool. 3. It is comfortable and fits snugly without being too tight. 4. I've already endoed, and so far my dome is safe and happy.
Price is reasonable. As of 03/17/02 it was on sale for $40 at specialized.com and is a flamin' 5 chili GREAT value. It retails for twice that, but would probably still be worth it.
I give it a flamin' 4 chilis overall because the whole "Brain Trust" knob doesn't seem to make much of a difference in the helmet fit.

Weaknesses: None
Bottom Line:
I got this helmet because I liked the looks and the fit as well as the crash replacement warrenty. This helemt doesn't bounce around. Bought it on a Monday, got hit by a car on Wednesday. Ambulance techs couldn't believe how well the helmet protected me. Got a replacement right away.

Strengths: Great looks, extremely comfy and snug fit, very good ventilation. Good price for such a high quality helmet.
Weaknesses: none
Bottom Line:
I just recently passed my Mountain Man helmet down to my girlfriend and bought a Enduro Pro. This helmet is lighter, fits better, and vents better. Plus the fact that I got it on sale makes it even sweeter. Many style points scored with this thing.
Strengths: Very comfortable and easy to adjust quickly to fit your head just right. All one piece vs. the taped on plastic covering on many helmets.
Weaknesses: colors/design could be a bit better. all the colors except black look very retro and could be taken up a notch.
Bottom Line:
excellent, most comfortable helmet I have ever tried on, like it is made for me (after adjustment), along with the lifetime backed up by Specialized (25%). It is a bit pricy, but your head is worth it right?
