from Austin, TX Date Reviewed: February 7, 2002 | | Duration Product Used: | 3 months | | Purchased At: | Oshman's | | Strengths: | I've never fallen with my helmet on so I don't know how well it works. So to test this, I tried it on and banged my head against the wall in my room....not too hard...but enough to test the helmets strength....well I checked it out afterwards and IT BROKE. The damn helmet broke after just trying it on in my room! | | Weaknesses: | Customer support was horrible, they said they'd give me 20% discount on another helmet....like I'd buy another one of their crappy helmets...yeah right. | | Similar Products Used: | I'm gonna try out a Giro | | Bike Setup: | Scott Boulder '97 | | Bottom Line: | Don't buy this helmet, it sucks. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

$40.00 | | Purchased At: | Pacific Bicycles | | Strengths: | Decent price and style at the time. Removable visor. Head retention system. | | Weaknesses: | Sits too high. Not too light. Not enough air flow on those hot days. | | Similar Products Used: | Giro something... | | Bike Setup: | Kona Muni Mula XT/LX Marzocchi Z4 etc... | | Bottom Line: | Sucks for $40 considering whats out there now. Pacific Bicycles is a lousy shop to buy it from in my opinion. Great deals, lousy workers. Went to the one on 6th and Geary Blvd. Hit the good old Start To Finish or other and you will get a much friendleir bunch. Not too sure where Specialized is headed with helmets. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

from Fargo Date Reviewed: April 5, 2000 | | Favorite Trail: | Meadowbrook Wildlife Managment Area | | Duration Product Used: | 2 Years | | Strengths: | The price is the best part of this helmet. | | Weaknesses: | The pads don't give you much padding because of their thickness. | | Similar Products Used: | Air banshee | | Bike Setup: | 98 Schwinn Moab that's been ridden and rebuilt for two years. | | Bottom Line: | This is a good helmet for someone getting into the sport or needs a bucket to race. It's nothing fancy and doesn't look biker-cool but it saved my life from a "Isaac vs. truck" accident and I've held on to it to remeber that. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

This one looks nice; the Bell I had made my head look kind of like a...well...to be honest, a p3nis. When you're a girl, that's not too cool.I've worn it for 6 months in unpredictable Texas weather and I like it just fine. | Overall Rating: |

Can't go wrong for the price. It looks OK but if you have more money definitely get something better. | Overall Rating: |
