from Toronto Date Reviewed: January 26, 2001 | | Favorite Trail: | Technical & steep | | Duration Product Used: | 2 Years | | Price Paid: |
$700.00 | | Purchased At: | Cambria outfitters | | Strengths: | Excellent craftmanship.Very light, and the salt does not pit or eat away at them.Hit a rock bent the outer chain ring, sheered the aluminum bolts and put a scrath on the crank arm.The crank is still true! They have earned my respect. Not as stiff as speclized Strong arms or Raceface they do have a little give. You can see the flex in the chainring not the crank arm.Much stiffer than Grafton Joystixs. | | Weaknesses: | Paying the visa bill. You need a shorter BB spindle.(So don't think the bill ends after the cranks, add chainrings & a BB spindle.$$$$) | | Similar Products Used: | Speclized stongarm series,Raceface,& grafton. | | Bottom Line: | Truly worth the money.Durable, strong and light. They will teach you to ride smoothly to avoid the flex in the chain rings.I give them five chilis because over all they are very good cranks. And the chainrings flexing doesn't bug me anymore it was slight, but you can feel it. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |
