from Chicago, IL Date Reviewed: September 8, 2004 | | Favorite Trail: | Vail DH Worlds Course | | Duration Product Used: | 3 months | | Purchased At: | ebay | | Strengths: | This thing is wicked light and construction is top notch. I've owned just about everything (www.carbonbicycles.com) and these are definately the nicest carbon crank's I've ever owned. I thought the package was empty when they arrived. 284 on my gram scale wit the bottom ring bolt in. These things are light as a tissue!
| | Weaknesses: | price, availability in USA, so light people might doubt them. | | Similar Products Used: | FSA, Colnago Carbon Crank, RaceFace, Campy, etc. | | Bike Setup: | Scott USA CR1 and Colnago C-40. | | Bottom Line: | Best carbon crank available if your looking to save weight but not skim on quality and want someting different than the run of the mill FSA/Campy option at the group ride. Only other option I'd consider is the new Stronglight which is also light (not quite as light as Cat) and worth a look.

from Switzerland Date Reviewed: March 27, 1999 | | Duration Product Used: | tested or demo'ed only | | Strengths: | Absolutely the lightest and stiffest ones. | | Weaknesses: | The price is really high, but compared with the Zipp its worth it. It is top quality!!! | | Similar Products Used: | Top line but these are weak! | | Bike Setup: | Klein Quantum Pro -->triathlon build | | Bottom Line: | These cranks are recommended for weight freaks and lovers for extraordinary bikeparts. Their factory is very close to me. | Overall Rating: |
