Submitted by Bryan a from Wylie TX
Date Reviewed: June 7, 2007
Duration Product Used:2 Years
Price Paid: $500.00
Strengths:Weight around 5 pounds, Fox RP3 really allows for adjustment in suspension from plush to locked out, price
Weaknesses:Paint chips a little too easily
Similar Products Used:Giant Warp DS1
Bike Setup:sram x9 drivetrain w/grip shifters, 06' Reba Race, wtb wheelset w/continental explorer and speedking tires, avid bb7 mechanical disk brakes, maxm carbon bar
Bottom Line:I have been riding this frame for a little over two years now, it has performed above my expectations. Frame handles well on all sections of the single track that I have ridden. It climbs well with the assitance of the RP3 shock and becomes plus for the downhill sections with the flip of the switch. I have really been impressed with how well it tracks through the corners. The linkage has remained tight with appropriate maintenance. I would definately recommend this for those riding any singletrack trail that is looking for a light frame at a reasonable price.

Submitted by James DuBose a Racer from Lexington, SC
Date Reviewed: September 19, 2006
Favorite Trail:FATS in Edgefield, SC
Duration Product Used:1 Year
Purchased At:Harrell's Bicycle World
Strengths:Incredible handling, true XC race bike. No pedal bob.
Weaknesses:Raleigh is no longer building these race machines. I have complained and got no response, I guess we racers are not important.
Similar Products Used:Specialized Hardtail
Bike Setup:XT Build kit, XT disc brakes, Manitou Black 100mm w/ lockout, Bontrager Race X Lite wheelset, Ritchey Stem, Bar, and Seat Post, and Egg Beaters.
Bottom Line:In my first races or race season ever in XC racing, and starting out in the sport class. This bike has help me earn two 1st and one 3rd place finishes in the SERC Series, two 1st place finishes in the Cane Creek Series including the SC State Championship. And one 1st place in a local race (Race To the River) in Columbia, SC. And according to NORBA Rankings (without all races being posted) currently holding 11th in the nation. Can I stress any more how fast this bike is!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
