Duration Product Used:3 months
Price Paid: $1200.00
Purchased At:jax long beach
Strengths:great frame adjustable on the fly, talas rear shock is smooth
Weaknesses:psylo c fork
Similar Products Used:tomac 98
Bike Setup:bontrager seat stem handlebars and rims, lx rear deore front
Bottom Line:great bike i have to agree with other reviewers, the adjustability of both front and back suspension climbing or down hill its great... the weak link is the fork its soft and rebound is too fast so i checked the rock shox website it turns out the standard spring in the fork is for 140lbs rider im 180lbs so i changed that and change the oil on the rebound from 5 weight to 10 weight im picking it up in the morning i hope theres a differance or else ill be looking for a marzocci bombers or marthon.it gets 4 chilis because all the compnents could be better but for my uses its pretty damn good for the price

Favorite Trail:jumping
Duration Product Used:1 Year
Purchased At:Cyclepath
Strengths:long travel, adjustable travel
Weaknesses:seals
Similar Products Used:marzocchis
Bike Setup:stock 2002 devinci hucker
Bottom Line:This is a follow up review to the one below me. In the time since i posted the last review i havent rode my bike alot, but in the time i did i blew a seal on my frok. But it really wasnt rock shox fault. It was pretty cold where i was riding (-15 degrees celsius) which had a part in the blown seal. The other part was that i was riding with the stock spring and i was bottoming out alot so the oil had nowhere to go but out the seal, dont let the other reviews fool you, if you put in the firm spring you shouldnt have any problems with your psylo, unless you dont take care of your equipment and clean and oil everything. im still rating these as perfect because it wasnt the design it was the weather.

Date Reviewed: July 31, 2002
Duration Product Used:Less than 1 month
Strengths:external travel adjustment, brake mounts,
Weaknesses:somewhat soft..
Similar Products Used:manitou magnums... not really that similar
Bike Setup:coast mountain works.
Bottom Line:It came on the bike and i its not to bad for person who dose not do 5 foot or more drops.. The external travel controll is nice, This shock is defentetley NOT for a cross countrey rider, over all it works for me but i think im might in the future upgrade to the PSYLO RACE.

Date Reviewed: April 12, 2002
Duration Product Used:3 months
Purchased At:Kristy Mountian Sports
Strengths:Adjustibility
Weaknesses:Everything else
Bike Setup:Haro X.3, XT drivrtrain
Bottom Line:Psylo c, The c is for crap. I have already blowen the seals twice. That sucks if you like to do drops. I dont think this shock would be bad for a weekend warrior, but if you are an extreme rider save yourself the time and energy and get your self a z.1 FR. In the end you get what you pay for. Rock Shox get yourself a clue and design deacent seals.

Date Reviewed: March 26, 2002
Duration Product Used:Less than 1 month
Purchased At:Cycle Funattic
Strengths:Very plush suspension. Very smooth action. Easy adjust travel.
Weaknesses:Bobs on long climbs even in lowest travel setting.
Similar Products Used:Judy XC, Head Shock P-bone
Bottom Line:I got this shock stock on my Haro Extream 3. I was mad at first when i found out it was the lowest in the line but as I rode I found out it is a great shock. The only difference between the c and xc is an external rebound adjustment. That's it. I am not some kind of xc tuning freak so it doesn't matter. It is a great shock. I took a six foot drop already and it never bottomed out. Excellent shock. If you love to ride and are don't care about crazy adjustments then save the money and go with the c.
