Strengths:super plush travel all the way down. takes bumps and rok gardens like there not there, quik steering and not heavy at all.

Favorite Trail:Anything downhill
Duration Product Used:Less than 1 month
Price Paid: $320.00
Purchased At:Chainreactioncycles
Strengths:I got them so cheap only £320. Their light, stiff, decent range of adjustment, unique red colour, super smooth and plush.
Weaknesses:Slightly flexy front and back, not noticable while riding, but torsionally v stiff. Front wheel is a pig to get in, once in though nothings gonna losen it. Rebounds quite quick, heavier oil will change this though.
Similar Products Used:Marz Shiver DC, Monster T, Pslyo, DJ1, etc...
Bike Setup:Demo 9, Boxxer, Blackspire, X-lite, Mavic, nokian...
Bottom Line:Can't get anything better for the price I paid. Great damping can't wait to give them a proper hammering. Overall the best dh race fork for the money nothing comes close.

Strengths:Well... It looks awesome! I just love the electric red color. And the suspension feels great so far. No problems, i like the rebound and the stiffnes of the fork. And it's also light! Well, that's all you need for a fork!
Weaknesses:Hmmm... They say that the Boxxer aren't as strong as for example Zocchis Monster T, but that fork is too heavy! But so long it has work well.

Bottom Line:If you need a light fork, and you don't go as big as Bender, this must be the perfect fork! But if you just dropps and goes big, you should get a Marzocchi Shiver or Monster I think.

Price Paid: $750.00
Purchased At:AMC
Strengths:stiff light work gr8 on big hit and small bumps right out of the box(and i am 215) but it is a bit fast looks gr8 and its pretty cheap i got mine for $1100cnd the about the same for a superT and my bro has one and i have riden it and the boxxer is stiffer, works better and is light too
Weaknesses:well i have not found any yet but it is a bit fast out of the box so i am going to add 20wt
Similar Products Used:none, its better than every fork i have riden.
Bike Setup:DMR trail star LT with Boxxers, full XT, 321 up front and a 521 in the rear with Michelin rubber on both, raceface cranks and seat post FSA pig head set.
Bottom Line:Gr8 if u dont do dirt jumps or 20ft but if ur like me and u rip it down trails really fast and do 6 and 7 footer gap ever thing u can on the trail and race XC and DH some times this is a really good for all that. its a bit too much for some XC races but if u have one bike it will work. i love this for so much i am planing to get another one in a year or so i hope the 2005s r as good as these ones.

Strengths:Light
Stiff
Descent Action w/Mods
Weaknesses:Too Quick out of Box
No real external adjustment
Bad reliablity
Similar Products Used:Shiver, Super T, Dorado
Bike Setup:Giant DH Team w/Shiver (now)
Bottom Line:The fork took me a long time to set up for my likes. (Mine was modded to a psuedo blackbox via compression checkvalve mod) After it was set with a 20 10 oil weight it ended up blowing seals like crazy and requiring lots of work such as o ring replacment. Its a good fork, just if you dont mind fixing your fork every 20 DH runs. If you want something that doesnt require much work, go with a Shiver. If you want no more than mantanance (nothing brakes, but it will feel like SH*T if you neglect it) go with a Dorado.

Bottom Line:I'm a sho mechanic, and i've worked on all boxxer models of all years, i've done work on other forks and what makes me sad is that ppl underrate boxxers, it's one of the MOST ajustable forks on the planet. it's pretty stiff 2 if u try twisting the wheel in the legs you will feel that it's stiffer than shiver. the fork is very light, and unless you are shooting an extreme video with lottsa jumps and drops it should be great fork 4 u

Weaknesses:none if you consider that every thing on your bike should be cleaned after every ride any way. befor first oil change go to moto shop and get 15 weight BEL RAY fork oil and and maint. is cut down drematicly all you need after that is a good clean rag and a little lube on top seals

Duration Product Used:Less than 1 month
Price Paid: $1000.00
Strengths:performance, weight, response, the usual great DH racing fork
Weaknesses:it is not solid, requires more tuning, very thin = bad turning radius, very easy to break.
Similar Products Used:Shiver, Monster, Monster Triple
Bike Setup:BB7 2002 stock
Bottom Line:Read this please!
My friend bought this 2002 BoXXer and broke it! He weights 200 and his a beginner. He fell and broke it! I was riding with him.. he crashed so gently that we did not suspected anything. Its only at home that we noticed the fork was bent. After only 4 hours of riding and a light crash it was bent. We went to the bike store and the mecano found it was actually broken. There was a crack going from the left tube (not the stanchion) all the way through the arch. He told us Rock Shox would not cover this because there was a few paint scratch on it! The fork as to be sent to Rock Shox ... It should not be back before 2 months and it will probably be a crash replacement for a good 1000$ can. So all this is the thruth, I'm serious enough, my email is there to testify. Dont buy this fork unless you are very light and gentle or a racer with budget. All I can say is that Rock Shox lost my thrust completely.

Weaknesses:No external adjustments. Expensive as an aftermarket Purchase,
Similar Products Used:Marzocchi Shiver, Monster T, Super T (7")
Bike Setup:02 Kona Stab SE- stock except, 8speed and Maxxis tires
Bottom Line:The boxxer is a sweet race fork. Once you get it dialed and get the right oil combination in it, It works like a dream!
There also pretty stiff over popular belief. I compared mine to the new Super T's and my new boxxer makes the super T look like a wet noodle. They're also pretty tough. Most the Drop Machine Team guys on Balfa BB7's are using Boxxers.

I know RS gets crap because they have been around so long but the product really works. Tech support is fantastic and RS really has a can do attitude.

Watch the MTB videos. More Boxxers than anything followed closely by Monsters. That should tell you something.
